Probably my favourite place to get Hainan Chicken rice anywhere in the world for me so far. The…read morechicken is perfectly poached and the skin is dark yellow with a ton of flavor. The rice is very well seasoned as well. It was so good I had to come here twice during my visit in Hong Kong and I usually no matter how good a place is I don't go to the same place twice! So that says a lot about this place! I skipped the combo meal as I know the chicken portion is not enough for me and I usually order half a chicken plate and order a bowl of rice on the side. You could go for the set which comes with soup and rice but then you'll be sad when you realize you are out of chicken to eat with your rice! Half a chicken at the time was priced at 90 HKD and bowl of rice was priced at 12 HKD. Definitely a must visit! They have two locations! The other location is in Sai Kung.

I'd try any place once & once is all I'd give to this place.

It's an exceedingly simple dish consisting of Kaya spread (which is essentially comprised of coconut milk and pandan leaves), butter, and, obviously, toast. My first impression was the maybe the toast was a little too toasty but as I kept eating, I realized it worked exceedingly well. The zing of the spread and the creaminess of the butter absolutely came through, and the texture of the bread provided a perfect counterpoint. I also tried a drink called Milo, which is basically a more chocolate-heavy spin on Ovaltine. It's good but nothing too special. But that Kaya toast... I'm gonna have to buy some of that spread to take home, I think.
