Almost as good as it gets, we've been coming here since they first opened a few years back and…read moreevery time when we are back in town, this noodle shop is a must for us to at least have a few meals here.
I would say 4/5 meals are top notch, for only once or twice the noodles were a bit overcooked, I am guessing that the Noodle Chef was either off that day or was having a bad day.
If you ever wonder what a "real" & "authentic" Cantonese Wonton Noodle tasted like, you have to come here to experience it, order the regular size noodles as this is the optimum way to enjoy the al dente noodles in its best state, more then often if you order a large size the noodles will be less al dente as it will have more time to get soaked in the soup.
Wontons are also a master piece here, the size is small, and this is what it is supposed to be as it was designed to be eaten in one mouthful, and not like the ones we find in N. America where one wonton can be made into 2 here in Hong Kong. The shrimp / pork ratio is well balanced, it also has the dried Flat Fish to increase the umaminess.
Having said all the good things about the Wonton Noodles, other recommendations are: Beef Brisket & Tendons, Steamed Fresh Rice Rolls ( With or without fillings ), Various kinds of Congees, and also don't forget to try their Tossed Noodles where the soup is served on the side!
This type of noodles are considered "Comfort Food" for a lot of people who grew up eating this at least once a week, and to have a real authentic representative from the original family that started it all to still be in business is really a precious thing!
