I worked above the 50th floor for 6 months. We have a connection. Even tossing away my "graduation goggles", I can say without bias that this is one impressive structure. If there's one word to describe why you should visit Central Plaza: VIEWS. Oh my view. Viewbulous. You can pay a bunch of money to go somewhere and get the same view, or you can go up to the 46th floor of Central Plaza for FREE. It's a 360 degree viewing platform that literally gives you one of the most captivating looks at Hong Kong Island. Have you ever watched fireworks over the harbour at eye level? This is where you can! Let's get things straight. Central Plaza is NOT in Central. 中環廣場不是在中環的 。It is however, in a very central location. It's connected by a network of bridges that lead to the Wan Chai MTR, the Hong Kong Convention Centre, and tons of restaurants and shops. Surrounding it is the bustling urban centre that is Wan Chai. It might not have any shops or restaurants inside (except a Pacific Coffee), but you're within a 20 minute walk of everything you need to survive at every price point: high end and low end restaurants, brand name and bargain shops, gyms, groceries, pharmacies...god, I miss that place!! Despite its humble surroundings, this gorgeous structure is anything but humble. Skim the HK Island skyline any day and you'll easily spot it. It's the 3rd tallest building, it's got a super pointy thing sticking out, and it lights up! Some of its tenants are anything but humble as well. You can see their personal Mercedes and Lambos parked out front where the taxis are. If you're lucky, you'll see the eccentric billionaires themselves (Mr. Cecil Chao for example). If you're a quick passerby, don't pass up the opportunity to check out that observatory deck. If you're ever lucky enough to work in this building, cherish your time here and take as many pictures as you can. I'm not sure I'll ever work in anything this majestic ever again. CHERISH IT!! This is a little known gem, as most people (and rightly so) assume that access to the building is only open to those working there. The viewing deck is in fact open to anyone who wishes, every day of the week and on Saturday mornings. Outside of theses times, building security tightens and you are required to show your tenants card. You could visit on Sunday mornings, and sign in as a worshipper, as there is a church (the worlds highest I believe) in the pyramid at the top of the building. If you do come by of a weekday, why not drop by the Pacific Coffee concession on the 2nd floor for a refreshment before heading up to the viewing deck. At PC, you are sure to get the finest HK service - mainly pointing, shouting and being rude right to your face. Sounds awful (it is), but nonetheless, it is an experience not to be missed though. Up on the viewing deck there is no seating, no other furniture, actually nothing, just the big open lobby area. However, you do get 360 degree view all across HK, from the harbour to the peak. It is an internal viewing deck, so if you want photos, you should push yourself right against the glass. Come by to kill 15 minutes and enjoy a coffee with great views. Just don't expect any niceties, like seats. This is after all an office building and not for us to look at the pretty skyline. Just another point of interest that you may want to read about on the Central Plaza website; the spire of the building is actually a clock that lights the time in 15 min increments from 6pm to 6am, using four blocks of different colours. There is a system to reading it, and it can be quite fun to try and work it out (maybe that's just me!).

I've been to PaperclipHK for a couple of events and workshops now, and I really enjoy it there…read more There are ample hot desks and it never feels crowded. I also like that the area where they hold events can be closed off so it doesn't disturb the other people who are working there. If you rent a space from them, you'll have access to the fully stocked kitchen with coffee and tea. The environment is relaxed, comfortable and welcoming. The owner, Deepak, is really friendly and knowledgeable. All of the furniture in the co-working space is designed by him. He is well connected and always willing to help. I enjoy that he is really trying to build the startup community in Hong Kong. All of the staff members are super nice and helpful, too. The events that I've been to have been really helpful and well organized (business model canvas workshop, value proposition design launch, startup hustle). Another cool things is that they offer their members mentorships. Although, a little more pricey than some of the other co-working spaces, the environment, network, amenities, and events they offer could justify the price.

Even though it was tedious, I was surprised by the facilities in the building and wasn't expecting it to be so new. It's a little tricky to get there, as you can either take an escalator from the footbridge that leads to the Immigration Tower down to ground level or arrive to the main entrance of the building, through Central Plaza. The building was built in 1993 but it was renovated in 2012, hence it's modern look. When a decision was made that the building needed a new face, many raised the concern that it was quite an emblematic building and that demolishing it would be too risky for the values it represented, so they opted for taking the existing building as the raw material and renew it. Moreover, in the design of this skyscraper sustainability was a key principle and the old windows were replaced with low E-glazing. It's also a low energy consumption block thanks to its LED lighting system. In fact, it's been awarded a few sustainability prizes. Besides the building itself, there is a wide open garden at the trance. You can see it as you cross the footbridge from Central Plaza. It's a beautiful wide open space where I only saw a couple of elderly people stretching and practicing tai-chi. I also discovered a few new restaurants around the area, at the bridge level. Due to its location, this whole complex of buildings may not be known by many and I was happy I got a chance to find out about them, despite it being for an application for a tourist visa...

Highly recommend as it covers most of the item types we were looking for. Nike, Adidas, Sasa, Hallmark, Tamiya, misc clothing, Miniso, pickleball court?!!, bakery, Toys R Us, claw machines, numerous restaurants. I decided to make this my temporary home for my 3 day stay in Kowloon. The hotel is centrally…read morelocated in TST in Kowloon next to tons of bars and restaurants that opens til very late at night so it's not exactly the most quiet neighborhood. The local is very convenient to subway and entertainment since it's right in the middle of everything. The decor is very minimalist modern. They try to give you the sense of a hipster modern boutique hotel which was a bit too minimalist for me since the rooms literally consist of a bed, bar table and small restroom with see through glass doors giving you no privacy even when you go to the bathroom. Okay for single traveler but if you have more than one person, you can be looking at someone sitting on the toilet. Not exactly the greatest view. The elevators are a bit nightmarish since it's shared with bars and restaurants from floors 1-5 which is open to general public. The lobby is on the 10th floor and rooms 10-15. It could take me 5 min just waiting for the elevators to come. The staff is helpful but way understaffed. When I was checking in there were just a couple of people in line for registration. But when I went down to ask some questions about the electric outlet adaptor (already provided hidden underneath a door on the bar), there were about 5 parties ahead of me at around 1pm. Took me 10 minutes in line to ask a simple question. They have around the clock security personnel at the ground level entrance and it does require your room key to access the floor for your room so I think security is decent.

Three Pacific Place, completed in 2004, was the latest addition to the PP complex, which was built…read morein three different stages: the first one included One PP, the Marriott Hotel and the Upper House; the second, Two PP, Shangri-La and Conrad hotels; and the third one was Three PP. The complex is managed by Swire which finalized the first stage by 1988. Both One and Two PP are essentially the shopping mall, but Three PP is an office tower, connected to Admiralty MRT station and located in the heart of Start Street. It's the 'entrance' to my office, in Lippo Centre, as you can easily get from here to the basement of Lippo Centre in a matter of 10 minutes. That means you get to PP, Queensway Plaza, United Centre or Admiralty Centre in no time and without stepping in the street. That's convenient at this time of the year (hot, humid and rainy at times). Although it doesn't seem to be praised enough, the design of the building is impressive, especially the entrance, with the ceiling to floor glass covering the whole area that allows for the natural light to come in. The location is also great, with restaurants, bars and shops all around. And once you get out of the building you're just five minutes away from Wan Chai MTR station and the tram way. Some shops can also be found at the basement: Pret-à-Manger, Dressed Salad, Jumbo Grade stationery store and even a laundry!

The decor has a rustic feel with the metal chairs and wooden tables. There are no worries about finding a hot desk because it's never really too busy there. Workground has everything one would expect out of a co-working space - coffee and tea, fridge, printer, lockers, meeting rooms, snacks, etc. Their prices are very competitive, coming in at $2,000HKD for a hot desk for 15 days a month. Lastly, their location is really convenient. It's about a 50 meter walk from the C exit of the Causeway Bay MTR station, and there are plenty of food options around.
