While walking to Christianshavn, we chanced upon this cafe that looked promising. Without a reservation at 10 am, we were sat without wait at a window table facing the busy Silkegade side street of Illum's parking garage.
The place was packed and we only realized it was a popular Copenhagen brunch spot after reading the online reviews while we were pondering what to get.
My wife got a latte with a nice swan art and savory pancakes with sunny side eggs and bacon. I chose the Ø12 Plate (avocado smash, chia pudding, bacon, scrambled eggs, chili cheese sausage, cheese, salmon, whipped butter, sourdough and rye bread) and Freshly Squeezed Juice (Pear, Mint, Lime, Spinach, Ginger) which was served in a 500 ml repurposed wine bottle. I did follow-up with a cup of filter coffee (drip) as the juice wasn't enough for that morning jolt.
It was a nice experience for an unplanned meal. F&D tasted very good and were plated attractively.
The restrooms which were located in the attic (not for the mobility challenged) were themed in red and white hues which made for interesting photo subjects. read more
