Came by again last night to have dinner as a dine-in, or so we thought. While the food was still just as fantastic as it's been before, the service left much to be desired. We wanted to sit outside at the dining tables that line the front windows in front of the restaurant; we went in and ordered some drinks, asked if we could sit outside and were told that we would have to order off the take-away menu. Then had to ask if we could receive and pay for our drinks while we looked over the menu to decide. Walked outside, sipped our drinks, looked over the menu and had a chat, then came back inside to order.
Keep in mind, we were in view of the cashier/host/hostess desk throughout this period.
So we order, pay, and are reminded that it'll be a takeaway order so we ask if we can get utensils (or just take a set of utensils off one of the tables indoors). No, but she found some sporks for us. The food was ready pretty quickly and she brought it outside to our table. We went to dig in and realized that we needed plates so we could share the mains we'd ordered. My friend went to the gas station a few doors down and found some plastic bowls and we started to use those, then the gal came out with a disposable plate for us and asked if we wanted napkins (yes!), saying that they couldn't bring any glassware or plates outside.
Why in the world does this place have chairs and tables outside if it's impossible to eat at them? We said repeatedly we wanted to eat outside and were just told we would be having takeaway. read more
