Delicious food in a casual though touristy setting. The ambiance and menu are very traditional Austrian, but the food is great. The outside seating is perfect for people watching or getting fresh air in the summer. Service was very friendly and the food took just long enough to know it was being made fresh. The steirschnitzel, a breaded cutlet in the local area's style was delicious with a unique pumpkin seed crust and tender meat. The potatoes were up to the high Germanic standards for root vegetables. The bauernkotelett, an unbreaded cutlet with bacon, onions, and mushrooms was outstanding and super filling. Oddly the fried chicken seemed very popular as well. The beer menu wasn't huge but had some local brew which was delicious with all of the meat. A perfect spot for the Austrian food fix a bit removed from the touristy center of town, but a fairly short walk away. read more
