I just visited the restaurant for Sunday brunch and I regret going there big time…read more Most of the food is convenient food bought already premade. The offering was not enough for the amount of people who were there and after a short while most of the main meals were gone. All the sauces tasted of being made from powder from bags. The deserts tasted also very artificially and terrible. This is NOT COOKING and the prices the y charges are outrages . What I also hate is when restaurants put lots of really cheap booze on the counter of their bar. They have put about 30 bottles of cheap booze on the counter as decoration. Again an outrages price for the industrial food.

Much to my surprise I was extremely impressed with the place. Achtung - if you punch in the address in the GPS of your car it will take you to the wrong spot. Go to their website and follow the instructions as we got lost by ignoring the directions on the website. This place serves modern German cuisine and the menu was fabulous. I had the grilled watermelon with smoked tuna for entree and it was delicious and the flavours were so delicate and went together beautifully. For main course I had the mackerel filet with scampi and a saffron risotto and I could happily have licked my plate clean. It was tasty, full of flavour and delicate all at the same time. The wine list is extensive and we have a nice bottle of Sancere which went perfectly with the food. For dessert I had the dessert variation and the chocolate fondant was exquisite. The service here is good and the location is amazing next to a golf course and I could have spent a whole night there sitting outside and enjoying the wine and company. It's a bit out of the way but you won't be disappointed you made the journey. It's a beautiful location with fabulous food. It's not cheap but I have had more expensive dinners that have failed to impress like this this one :-)) everyone in our group of 5 loved their meals and we had all our plates go back with nothing left. That is always a sign of a good meal. I would happily come back here anytime and look forward to my next visit. There is a hotel attached to the restaurant and it looks amazing. Might have to stay the night the next time :-)))

It's served with french fries (very good), salad (not bad) or the rosemary fries. They also have pasta on the menu, salads, fish, etc. I haven't tried these. For the appetizer, we tried the tomato and fresh mozabites cheese, it was nice. Exterior terrasse, very spacious. Our marocan waiter was very kind and spoke french with us. They also have an ice cream bar next door. Will try next time.

With ample outdoor seating, huge portions, and reasonable prices I'm always shocked that their isn't a line. Thankfully, there never is. Food is pretty decent German fare but nothing outstanding. Portions are quite large. Decent Rheingau wines at humane prices and beer selection OK. Service was friendly and efficient. There is some outdoor seating as well, but was a bit too smoky smelling for us...though the restaurant inside is very nice and has a very home-like feel. Fun times were had in Germany and we're hoping to go back someday! Zer gut ja!

This turned out to be a great decision: the restaurant was nice and quiet, and the service unintrusive. We shared a carpaccio with fresh mushrooms (one of the best I've tried). For my main dish I chose the black cappelletti stuffed with truffles in a creamy mushroom sauce and it was SUPERB. Honestly, I couldn't believe how tasty the dish was. The cappelletti were perfectly cooked (there are few things I hate more than pasta that has been cooked for too long, and that seems to be a common mistake in Germany). You could actually taste the mushrooms in the sauce. The quantity was perfect; I needed help to finish the last cappelletti due to the carpaccio and the bread basket - fresh, warm bread. My boyfriend had the Argentinian rumpsteak with the herbs butter; it was soft and juicy and he loved it. The prices were very reasonable for such quality, and we'll certainly come back again.
