The food and experience highly exceeded my expectations! Located in Oberursel, this restaurant is within 5 minutes walk from the closest train stop. The restaurant is highly popular with the locals, and I would recommend making a reservation in advance. The restaurant is medium sized, and it is being run by a lovely lady. She said since they update their menu regularly, there was no English menu available. However, she spoke very good English and made excellent recommendations. You could also use Google translate to understand the menu. The menu was very simple, with appetizers, salad, soups, entrees, and desserts. There was also a very extensive drink menu in the second half of the menu. For my meals, I ordered the small size salad and the mushroom risotto entree. The restaurant manager said the mushrooms were hand picked from the wild. The risotto was among one of the best I had ever had, with the perfect combination of cheese, creamy risotto, and flavorful mushroom. Others in my table ordered the pulled pork, fried chicken, beef goulash, and mushroom pastas. The plating presentation was excellent and everyone raved about their meals. Our total for 6 came to 192 euros, which was a steal given the quality of the meal. The service was excellent and the food came quickly. Don't miss it! Highly recommend!

The Ratskeller is a wellknown and frequently visited location. So it might be useful to make a reservation in advance. The chairs outside are only a few. Sitting there in the summertime is recommendable. The service is not absolutely prompt but there is not such a long time to wait until a friendly waiter appears at the table. For very good food go Waldlust or Ratskeller. These are the best in Oberursel !!!

Flat bread pizza is pretty good…read more This place is great in the warmer months where you can sit outside and people watch whilst eating the wonderfully refreshing flat bread pizza or other freshly made treats. It's in the middle of the square so there's plenty of foot traffic going to the train station or just laufting (leisure walking). Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

The service was awesome, the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was warm and cozy! If you are looking for German food this place is fantastic!
