And lucky for us they had a few staff who spoke fluent English. The staff gave us descriptions and recommendations which we gladly obliged. We're obviously not German food experts but always like to try different foods. The restaurant sells wines from their winery and allow wine tasting as well. My wife had a Gewurtsraminer and I had a non-dry red wine of which I cannot recall the kind. They were both very good wines. We had the pork escalade and fish pasta for our entrees which we shared. They were both enjoyable and good. We shared vanilla ice cream with peach liqueur for dessert which was delightfully good. Overall a positive experience.

Hotel itself je really basic but everything is maintained and clean, its better to prefer Comfort room, because it more quiet. From hotel with own kitchen I would expected more inspiring breakfast especiali in pastry and bread selection. Restaurant was fine, but be careful what you order, German cuissin is not syple and too much ingredients does not alwas mean the best meal. I would reccomend this place for very nice and helpful staff which gave us nice overview about things to do in area. After our visite in Trier, we were glad for this choice in more guiet location.
