Our server gave us a very detailed introduction to their menu and highlighted their most popular dishes. We ended up letting him decide but also included the foie gras crispy rice plate that our friend raved about. Overall service was delivered with great timing in between dishes as well as a brief explanation of each one. Of all the dishes, there were the ones that were outstanding: The black cod yuzu miso dish was a melt in your mouth fish with a lighter miso taste courtesy of the yuzu. The foie gras was well proportioned, a little sweetened by the sauce, so rich and the crispy rice added a little different texture than expected. One tip for a cooler (temperature wise) dining experience sit in the sushi bar area especially during the summer when we visited. We will come back next time in Vienna.

The menu indicated that the Gan Bien would be spicy (scharf) but I learned long ago that scharf in Vienna is not really scharf for a Philadelphia guy. So I ordered it Super Scharf with a side order of hot chili sauce. The waitress was great. She did exactly as I asked and the homemade chili sauce was totally excellent .... and hot. I added it liberally and enjoyed a really nice, spicy, and tasty Gan Bien. Next time I will go to Kiang with friends so we can share and try multiple dishes including the classic Dan Dan noodles. I did like the service here very much .... and even if the dining room is rather plainly decorated, the serving staff added a nice warmth.

The toilets are veeeeery tiny but I liked the very big windows, giving an impression of space. The menu has for me the right amount of offers: every one could easily find something he/she would like :) without spending hours looking at the menu... Plus, it tastes amazing! Fresh and tasty, not too fat but with the exact right amount of spices (for my taste)... and in big proportions for such fair prices!
