Pretty sure I could have just ordered online whatever I get back in line she wants to cash me out again. Making weird comments about my daughter then hands me a clear shopping bag while everyone gets a nice little miss muffin bag so so so bizarre yuck if you're hostile about doing sales don't have them horrible customer service I also heard some employee fighting with someone else. Shopping on their online site while they apparently were having an online sale. Placed an order for…read moreseveral items for local pickup, it came up 50% off and was supposed to be available the next day. Received a confirmation on my order. Five days later I finally get a not so warm and fuzzy email telling me the 50% off was limited to three items and I needed to tell them which ones I wanted the discount on or they would select for me out of whatever inventory they have left. What???? I didn't apply the discount. They did! Whatever you have left, you'll pick? And charge me full price for everything else or not process it? If your website can keep up with your inventory or a sale you are running maybe your sale needs to be in store only. Sorry you screwed up. All I did was place a very large order I will no longer be purchasing. I requested cancellation. I also needed several of the items for a baby shower that had passed by the time you emailed me. I didn't even know about your sale or any limit. And by the way, sale items are not returnable.

Feltman clothes are what I'd call "Sunday Best" for kids. For all you guys out there, there is a New Orleans section as soon as you walk in the door that features Saints gear and LSU gear for infants through toddlers. There is also a small contingent of Tulane gear for the uptown crowd. All in all, this is a really cool store if you need kids clothes, you don't mind paying for premium merchandise and you like personalized attention.

However, I found myself in Metairie, LA on Causeway Boulevard yesterday, shopping for baby "stuff" at The Baby's Room. This place is the polar opposite of Babies R Us, and this is not a shot at either of these businesses. The Baby's Room is a very small boutique styled store that caters to personalized attention. Personally, I like that kind of service, especially when I am enthusiastically greeted upon entering the store. This is a high end store that features the "top of the line" baby furniture, strollers , car seats etc. I was literally blown away when I saw this cool looking stroller, and then observed the $900.00 price tag that went along with it. Perhaps never having had children (yet), I am a little disconnected from these things. But $900.00 can buy a used motorcycle or scooter! But I digress. The only reason this store doesn't get 5 stars is that it's quite small, but perhaps that's going back to the whole "boutique style". There is a really cool love seat towards the back of the store where couples can thumb through catalogs and pick out things that they don't see on the floor. The store also specializes in baby registries and no appointment is needed. For those of you who find yourself shopping (like me), and haven't got a clue on what to get, you have the convenience of opting for a gift certificate. This store has everything the expecting parents could ever want for their child, except for clothes. And they have this covered as well, since just 20 feet away and directly next door is their sister store, "Itsy Bitsy Me", which is a high end children's clothing store. Had a bad experience here a couple years ago, but tried to give it a second chance this week. I've now been burned twice, and I will not be spending anymore money here. Sad, because it does have cute stuff and it's in my neighborhood. In 2022, I purchased a clothing item for my son on black Friday. Everything in the store was discounted 20% or so that day, including full-priced items. This sale was announced verbally to customers as they shopped in the store. I purchased overalls (discounted to $70) in a 3T for my son who was wearing size 2T in most brands. Unfortunately, they were too tight to pull over his legs. When I tried to exchange for a larger size THE VERY NEXT MORNING, the owner said it could not be exchanged because I had purchased the item "on sale" on black Friday. Meanwhile, the other size was just sitting on the rack... and this policy was not announced at the time of my purchase! Had I known there was a no-exchange policy, I would not have purchased the silly overalls for my toddler! It was meant to be a fun purchase at a local store, a little splurge during the holiday break. There was no customization or monogram. What a waste of money! I felt like a sucker and hoped that I'd have a second kid who could fit into them someday. Last week, I purchased several items from the store for my child while he was at school. Because of my previous experience, I asked the cashier if the items could be returned if they didn't fit, as the items were all full price. She said yes, they can be returned. Today, I took two items into the store to return them, and another cashier said they only offer store credit, no refunds. I explained that I had asked about returns at the time of purchase, and the other employee said they could be returned. She just said "sorry the other person didn't explain it to you, that's the store policy". I scanned the room to see if I had missed a large and obvious sign explaining this policy for every item in the store. After several glances, I finally noticed the TINY sign next to some gift cards explaining the no-refunds policy. There are other local stores that offer the same brands, but don't make me feel foolish for shopping with them. (One of them is only a block away.) There is no need to be so stressed out shopping for little kid clothes! I will take my money elsewhere.
