I am SO grateful to have found Fenix Electric!…read more The Fenix team was so prompt from the moment I reached out to them and they maintained excellent communication every step of the way. They were always coordinated and ahead of addressing any questions before I even had a chance to ask! It was such a relief to be taken care of versus taken advantage of. With every interaction, I was treated with the utmost level of kindness, consideration and personalized care. I love that I could simply text or they were also reachable by phone call 24/7. I live in Austin and sadly became tasked with putting my late father's home up for sale near Lindale. I had to drop everything and travel to the unattended house when I was made aware of some electrical problems and outages occuring. Fenix was immediately available to help and I was fortunate to have Paul Hutchinson respond to my service request. He went absolutely beyond expectations! Paul was thorough, expedient and able to explain my issues with clarity in a way that actually made sense so I felt confident making informed decisions amidst a stressful, time sensitive situation. Without any pressure whatsoever, he presented me with several repair options, fair estimates and took the time to explain the pros and cons of each. I was so impressed by his level of integrity, considering there are always opportunities for businesses to take advantage of customers in vulnerable positions by pushing for the most expensive solution rather than the most appropriate and practical solution. That honesty and transparency is what earns long term customer loyalty! He even claimed all the way through the hot, claustrophobic attic to ensure his diagnosis was correct. While Paul proceeded to work on the repairs we had discussed, I let him know I would be in the basement clearing out some moldy junk I had just discovered. He noticed how dark and precarious even the basement stairwell was so he actually went into the basement and located the lights I didn't even know were down there! Not only that but he then cleared the space of trip hazards and even removed some plywood boards to open up the space, making it safer for me to move and actually breathe! He was able to do that quickly then jump right back into the electrical work as if saving my day was no issue for him at all! I couldn't believe someone would just decide to do something like that simply to help out another person even though that wasn't his "job". Without a doubt, I would've been injured down there alone had he not secured and safeguarded that area. It definitely wasn't part of Paul's itenerary for the day but I'm so appreciative how he selflessly went beyond what was asked or required of him professionally just to ensure a safer environment for his customer, because it was simply the right thing to do. It also brought my attention to several other hazards I was able to have repaired and wouldn't have become aware of otherwise. Not long after Paul finished his repairs and left that evening, I continued working in the basement alone, sorting through the damptowering tubs of belongings, rusty tools, etc. Suddenly, the leg from a tall metal shelving unit gave way and collapsed on top of me. Thanks to Paul clearing out the space earlier, I was able to roll into part of the open space as it landed on me. I definitely would've been pinned down there without any way of calling for help had he not ensured the area wasn't a total death trap. So not only did he do an incredible repair job but I credit him for preventing me from being seriously injured and he absolutely saved me from being such a careless idiot! Thank you Paul, Mark and Douglas for your exemplary professionalism and kindness. I'll happily continue recommending you to everyone!

Very unprofessional and untrustworthy! J&K Electrical Services LLC of Palestine, TX is the most…read moreunprofessional electric repair and service company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. As a Generac certified representative, we hired J&K to service our 24KW Generac whole-house generator as well as relocate the unit because it was originally installed too close to a window by Tyner Electric of Ennis, TX in 2020 and it caused carbon monoxide poisoning in our home. The generator was serviced by J&K's Ty Richmond with new oil & filter, spark plugs and air filter at a cost of $575, but the unit ran worse than it did before! Mr. Richmond said he was unable to fix the problem and the owner, Master Electrician James Giles, would have to come out. After numerous phone calls, Mr. Giles and his son came out a month later and determined that the gas regulator valve was set to natural gas and we have propane. Then, Mr. Giles gave me a quoted price of $1,000 to relocate the generator, therefore we had a verbal agreement. After 6 phones calls and 2 months later, Mr. Giles and his employee returned to relocate the unit. The unit was moved more than 5 feet away from the window as required, but they left electric supply wires dangling 10 inches off the ground and 55 inches from the electric box on our house! In addition, the propane line was left precariously exposed. I helped Mr. Giles and his employee move the unit, because they were struggling with its weight. According to Generac, both the electric and gas lines should have been extended and properly buried to eliminate a safety hazard. I questioned Mr. Giles on-site about whether the setup met regulations and he assured me that it did. Generac and an inspector disagreed. As he left, Mr. Giles told me the job would cost us less than he originally quoted, because he did not do everything. Bury the lines?? On top of the sloppy job which still needs fixed, Co-owner Heather Giles tried to charge us $1,254 and threatened to sue us in small claims court! She tried to bully us into paying $50 to her attorney, too. Unbelievable!
