TL;DR - The mother of all burgers. What a find this place was! Firstly, the name is fantastic but the food is great too. We popped in here after doing a search for somewhere to eat and after seeing their menu online we were hooked. The variety of burgers and toppings is amazing - I had the Havana which feature deep fried bananas! Burgers are big and satisfying, plus you can have them served medium rare if you like (highly recommended!). Every burger comes with fries and salad plus potentially a couple of extras based on what you've chosen. Staff were friendly, prices were reasonable and the seating area outside is just perfect for people watching. read more

So apparently Zsa Zsa is a pretty standard, popular European name of sorts. When this restaurant came recommended to us by the bartender at Paula and Ben's (!!), I could not help but chuckle and, after seeing the business card, thought it would be one of those "tourist traps" that locals recommend to unsuspecting out-of-towners. Whatever the case, this place was a huge hit among us. I started with the Caesar salad, the other two the meatball soup. I secretly wanted the meatball soup because it was spicy and delicious, but I was having so many issues from eating meat and bread for pretty much every meal over the week that I was willing to indulge in anything that had the slightest resemblance to a vegetable. And plus, I was continuing to eat more meat and bread with my main dish, the Eqyptian burger. Aka the star of my burgery show. Like, huge massive chunks of fig smothered in goat cheese pressed between a much-healthier-than-white-bread bun. It was as beautiful on my plate as it was when I was stuffing my face with it and, although I am not all into the "craft burger" scene this was definitely one of my favorite combinations. I ate the whole thing. Score one for the chubby team! They get an extra boost for their cocktails. My two friends ordered the gin special while I went with my go-to, a Manhattan. If they only would have had a drink called the Berlin, I would have chosen it. Apparently I was not drinking mine fast enough because, as my friends were halfway through their second drink and me sipping away on my first, the bartender had the waitress ask me if everything was ok with my drink. It was wonderful, bartender, but I just can't keep up with my chug-a-luggin' friends! This place was an amazing find in Berlin. I thought I was craving a real burger, but once I got there I changed my mind after seeing their vegetarian options. Having said that, I'll be back again to try one of the beef burgers. First off, the service was incredible! Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in all the way through when I left. As for as the food, I ordered the Tijuana veggie burger, and it really was spectacular! Often times, bean burgers can be boring and dry, but this was so fresh, tasty and definitely not dry. It came with a paprika salsa, which was really tasty and had a hint of spiciness to it, which I loved. French fries and especially the coleslaw were also delicious! In a word - great beef with endless toppings to choose from, hard to feel its taste under the all the extras, but why don't you serve no hot sauce? :( Longer version (for the brave) - after endless talk about this place I decided it's time to head west and check out this place. As we heard it's a rather small place so we reserved a table and got a sweet spot in one of the corners of the restaurant. When I came in I was a bit disorientated after having a loooong day, and the menu just confused me even more- there are so many things to choose from, that's insane! A little starter menu would do the job - nibbling something would do wonders :) We decided to take some sweet potato as a starter - well made! Crispy and fresh. For the main dish I had the Mexican burger, grilled to MW (it's nice that finally you can actually choose how grilled you want your burger to be) - the guacamole was creamy and the jalapeños were not too spicy - just the standard pickled ones. The manchego cheese took over the flavor of the burger, but when I tried the beef by itself I liked the taste. The veggie burger (which only appears in one version) was very tasty but fell apart from the first bite. The dish was pretty big, found myself struggling with finishing my burger and definitely couldn't finish the fries and the little coleslaw it's served with. Biggest disadvantage for me - mayo and ketchup were on the table which is nice and all, but there is no spicy sauce and no peppers on the table, it was very sad as one of my pleasures is spicy food, made me feel like the whole meal is a bit more tasteless than what it actually was! Ended up in this place attracted by the other reviews on Yelp... Big hit! This place is really nice! Small, but with a nice terrace! Place is decorated very stylish and the people working here are very friendly and correct. They only sell burgers in this place... But they are specialized in it and they talk burgers!! If you like burgers, this is your place to go! No fat fried burgers, but they serve you a really tasty burger with French fries and vegetables... Oh, and the chicken wings with blue cheese dip are really delicious! I certainly will be back here next time I visit Berlin! One minor thing, you can only pay cash and no cards are accepted... The food and The Service were really great plus The Location Is top - only a Short Walk from The U Bahn Station @ nollendorfplatz or wittenbergplatz. We were a Group of 4 but We went out pretty early (6pm) and Managed to get a Table without a reservation but was very Full when we left so You probably should Ring and book. Had an excellent cocktail and chicken breast burger here on last night in Berlin. The burger was called the Bangkok Bang (marinated chicken breast with mango Mayo. Also comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, coleslaw and crispy onion strings. I ordered sweet potato fries with mine and they were really well done. Cocktail choice - I tried the Pink Lady. Food: delicious. The burger was impeccable--my only complaint was the relatively low quality lettuce and tomato, and less onion strings than I would've liked. But those honeyed figs... DANG. I got "The Egyptian," and would recommend it a thousand times over. Drinks: The one and only place I've ever had a satisfactory Gin cocktail. Still a bigger fan of whiskey--and they have that too--but it was on their specials list, and was definitely a good pick! Atmosphere: Music: Great choice of jazzy pop covers, at just the right volume. Service: fantastic--they even took my coat and let us stay a little past our reservation. A little surprised when we got served by a dude in a dress (this is after all in the heart of Berlin's gay district), but hey, it's a free country! The bill: less expensive than I would have thought, but then again we're talking Euros and I haven't gotten over the exchange difference... So, maybe a little pricy. 20€ including tip. A super-friendly staff beckoned us bewildered, freshly-arrived travelers onto their lovely outdoor terrace. Our waitress was witty and fun (and very patient with one of us who always has a thousand questions about the menu), and took good care of us. I ordered the Kentucky burger, which was smothered in swiss cheese and roasted red peppers. I'm so happy I noticed there was wasabi mayo available (for an extra Euro) on the next page. Was a perfect addition for both the burger and the fries. Two in our party had a cocktail with cucumber slices and ginger, which was delicious! One of us ordered the onion rings; be prepared that they aren't big-honkin' American style, but rather quick-fried, finely-shaved onions. Still quite tasty. While two of us noted that our burgers were overcooked (one was ordered medium-rare and mine medium; both came almost well-done), the flavors were still excellent and the burgers juicy. When I mentioned the overcooking after we settled up the bill, they were apologetic and said they would have gladly made us new burgers. All in all, I'm sure I'll be back again. read more

I love raclette cheese but they don't put enough of it, they might not want to hurt sensitive people's palet and nose but then they shouldn't use raclette at all. The burgers are good and the servings huge. The menu looks great and they even have specials. This place is open until late. I had the Cubano one night and the Ibérico on another occasion. Both times I enjoyed my meal although I couldn't finish it. We tried a couple of other places in the area and Sza Sza Burger was by far our favourite. We enjoyed the service the most. The restaurant is small with a bar and the mood is really good. The staff was very nice and attentive and the food came fast. Delicious burgers with fries and coleslaw on the side. You can order a lot of different kinds of burgers and you can add extra "toppings", if you'd like. A very nice experience and definitely worth a try. read more

The English Version A friend and myself had burgers here on Saturday September 14th, 2019. The burgers were good. It was the second time I had eaten at this establishment during my visit. However; my friend woke up in the morning and vomited and I woke up after soaking the bed in cold sweats all night. Upon returning to Canada (my friend is native German and lives in Germany), digestive problems erupted, causing time off work. It was later discovered through various tests, that cross-contamination of chicken to beef, or other foods, was more than likely the cause. The Doctor specifically indicated that, there is a high probability that someone didn't wash their hands during meal preparation. Something so simple as washing their hands could have saved me, 7 days of problems. As good as the burgers taste, my health must come first. So please make sure ANYONE who handles food ***WASHES*** their hands, frequently and before moving from one thing to another. Sanitize surfaces, cookware, and utensils properly. Der Arzt wies ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit jemand während der Essenszubereitung seine Hände nicht gewaschen hat. Etwas so Einfaches wie Händewaschen hätte mir 7 Tage Probleme ersparen können. So gut die Burger schmecken, meine Gesundheit muss an erster Stelle stehen. Stellen Sie daher sicher, dass JEDER, der mit Lebensmitteln umgeht, häufig und vor dem Wechsel von einer Sache zur anderen die Hände wäscht. Oberflächen, Kochgeschirr und Utensilien richtig säubern. Stay away if you have food intolerance. They give conflicting answers about gluten and milk in their food, and they ended up serving what they had promised not to do. I don't expect any extra treatment at all, but just that they are able to tell what kind of ingredients they use! A smiling waiter can, unfortunately, never outweigh such a breech of basic food safety. Judging on the menu and my friend's meal, I don't think the burgers looked exceptional, just OK. I think this could be a great burger place, as long as the burgers are not cooked more than medium. I got med well and it was way overcooked, tough, and bland. The others had med and med rare and were much tastier. The drinks are way too expensive. 7 euros for water? Seriously? The staff were friendly. Space is tight. I don't like paying over 12 euros for a burger. Thankfully it came w fries, but they too were bland after the first few. Offering sweet potato fries or a side salad instead of regular fries would have been a nice option. read more

Smallish burger place that is serving up a storm when it comes to Burgers. The burgers are among the best I have had but their medium is a little too medium for me. Both their fries and sweet potatoe fries are crispy and very well seasoned. Their coleslaw is very nice and not roo creamy. Only other downside is they served Heineken? I was here two nights ago and had a really good time. The decor is very contemporary with an enclosed outdoor patio for smoking. I found the staff to be really friendly. The barman was very attentive and provided prompt service. The burger I ordered on the menu was very tasty. My only recommendation is that if you want a burger medium, you might want to order it well done. I ordered my burger medium and it came to the table medium- rare. No biggie. I should have done my own due diligence, and I would have known meat temperatures are different in Europe than in the States. This is the perfect place to meet up with friends or to meet on a date. read more

This was the worst service I have had in my life - this rude and disrespectful owner blamed us for not ordering fast enough, made passive-aggressive remarks and asked us to leave early without bothering to be polite in any way. My favourite eating place in Berlin. The best burgers in town, probably Europe. Zsa Zsa Burger departs from the traditional fast food image of burgers to serve gourmet meat in a bun cooked to perfection. There is a flavour for every palate, from your traditional American through to Mexican and Indian curry flavours, vegetarians won't go disappointed either. Watch out for the weekly specials, amazing treats that make you come back for more over and over again. This place is okay, but takes itself a little too seriously in all the wrong ways. The food was okay, but overpriced since it tastes more like fast food than fine dining. The staff was not very friendly, starting with a "we only have seats inside until 9" (it was 7:45, on a Sunday night, and it's a burger restaurant), ignoring our request for service because they were too busy taking shots as a group behind the bar, and getting the order incorrect (and then still charged for what they forgot). They sat us down at a table basically on top of another couple when there were more private tables open, though thankfully the other diners were friendly. The music was good, but you couldn't always hear it over the loud clink and clank of them dropping and clearing dishes or yelling to one another from one side of the restaurant to the other. The one saving grace was the dessert - both the brownie and apple crumble were served warm and tasty and with a nice scoop of ice cream. Overall, though, a below-average experience. read more
