I cannot say enough about how AMAZING my service at Zoya was! Beautiful & comfy setting, excellent customer service, and my dress came out fitting me like a glove. I got so many compliments on the day of my wedding about how stunning I looked, and I told everyone that it was truly because of how well it was altered to fit me! 10/10 would recommend!

Zoya took my bridal jumpsuit from 'very nice' to 'freaking amazing.' She re-did the internal structure, hemmed it, fixed the inside seams, and basically structured the garment so it fit me like a glove. She is lovely and fun and an incredible tailor! Her shop is from where I lived in Cambridge, but 100% worth the trips. She had me come in in January for my May wedding. When I got major dress regret about the jumpsuit I'd gotten, she held off on tailoring it and then tailored the replacement jumpsuit I got without penalizing me for the wasted fitting. So incredibly nice! And she finished the suit well in time for the wedding (with 2 fittings) despite the time crunch from me changing my mind. Zoya also happily took a cheap cape I'd gotten from the internet and made it AMAZING. I got so many compliments! This was perfect and I am SO happy I went to her! Go, now!

Zoya did an excellent job with my wedding dress. The skirt was multiple layers of tulle and when I told her I did not want to lose too much of the train, she agreed, although said it would be difficult to bustle. She hemmed it perfectly and brought in the shoulders perfectly. The beading remained in tact. The waist already sat perfectly on me so that was an unnecessary alteration luckily. I went in on three occasions over 6 months time and each time I was very pleased with her work. She did managed to bustle my dress, albeit it took 7 points to do so! She showed my mom and MOH how to bustle it on the third visit and they nailed it on the day of the wedding. I paid about $300 for alterations to the straps, a hem and bustle, which to me is totally fair. Zoya is a terse lady, but she knows what she is doing and you need to clearly tell her what you want as well as trust her opinion! Also, don't bring in a dress that needs to be completely redone and expect perfection. I would definitely return to her for other projects.

Zoya was fantastic!! I used Zoya for my lace BHLDN dress, and she did a wonderful job altering it. I was a tad worried that alterations would show on the delicate lace, but the dress looked perfect! Due to the keyhole back, I was having a tough time finding a bra that would work, so Zoya also altered my strapless bra so it wouldn't show, and it didn't peak out of my dress all day. She did all this at a very reasonable price (To give you something to compare, I've had bridesmaid dresses altered at boutiques that cost DOUBLE what I paid to have my dress and bra altered). At the last minute, Zoya was also able to make sashes for my bridal party, and they came out beautifully. I will use Zoya for all my alteration needs, and will send anyone and everyone there! She is definitely a passionate, efficient, organized, and precise seamstress!

I cannot begin to say enough good things about Zoya and her assistant, Katie (?). I brought my wedding dress in about a month before my wedding to get altered. Came in 2 weeks before and it was perfect! 4 days before my wedding, being an anxious bride, I decided to put my dress on and stare at myself in the mirror for a little bit. To my surprise I put the dress on and it was too large in the bust! (My advice to brides: don't race an Ironman triathlon less than 2 months before your wedding then stop swimming completely!) I stopped by the shop the next morning and found out Zoya was on vacation all week!! The assistant was very sweet and told me not to worry, that she would take care of it. And take care of it she did! She took it in within 24hrs and didn't even charge me much more than the rush fee! The dress was as perfect as I could have ever imagined! I would recommend Zoya Designs to any bride-to-be who wants to feel taken care of! Thank you!!

I am (finally) adding to my review. Zoya has outdone herself again by transforming my wedding dress into a beautiful heirloom baptism gown for my daughter. I brought images of a baptism gown I liked and Zoya talked through the process and options with me before masterfully creating the perfect outfit for my daughter. I can't say enough about the thoughtful and talented Zoya and I will continue to be a loyal customer of hers for years to come!

This double bustle (under + over bustle) was a feat of engineering and looked so elegant.

Are the prices reasonable for tailoring of everyday clothing (not just event clothing)?

Hi, Sarah, I think the prices are fairly reasonable. We have a price list posted online https://zoyadesigns.com/alterations#/womens-alterations-price-list, if you wanted to compare to other places. Cheers!

I was probably the more indecisive bride ever, so when I finally found what I was going to wear (bought dress online from JCrew) the timing was less than optimal.

While the seating itself isn't all that special, the acoustics are quality. If you expect something significantly higher than community theater here, you may be disappointed. While the performances were fine, they're not really all that polished and feel rather barebones (two actors playing one role in a production was rather strange). If you want a more grander theater experience but without going into Boston, consider Reagle in Waltham. (For all you Yelp police out there, yes, I paid $ here for tickets so I can review)
