Sorry, I don't speak any Spanish, so this review will be in English.
I came here with a co-worker and when we sat down, I noticed some chestnuts on the table. Warning: they're just table decorations. I made the mistake of thinking it was food, and after cracking them open and eating some, I realized they weren't cooked. Luckily the waitress was really nice; when I asked her whether or not the chestnuts were for eating, she made me feel like I was completely within my right to eat it even though they were just table decorations. She even brought me a little plate for the chestnut shells.
My entree was pigeon five ways, which just sounded really interesting. I forgot how the drumsticks were cooked, but the pigeon breast was seared, the liver was in the form of a pate, the kidney was braised?, and another part was battered and deep fried.
For dessert, I got a pear tart with a mint ice cream. The mint ice cream was cool and refreshing and pear tart was quite tasty and delicious. The pear worked surprisingly well in the tart, giving the tart a nice floral tone without making it too sweet.
While the portion/price ratio wasn't exactly in the customer's favor, I really enjoyed both the service and flavors. read more
