Stopped by there for an early dinner tonight with the family. Been meaning to try it for a a few years every time we come up north to the cabin. The place is big and they have a great outdoor seating area overlooking the lake. You have to order as you walk in and then they bring the food to you. That was a little bit of a surprise as I figured it was a sit down place where they have table service. We ordered a couple pizzas and a couple drinks and found a table outside. It was a beautiful day. The food came quickly. Ordered a Mexican pizza and a cheese pizza. The Mexican pizza came with chips and salsa. The chips were a little stale but still crispy. The salsa was very mild but fresh. The cheese pizza was good. The Mexican pizza was interesting. Not great but interesting flavors with the beans and beef. The jalapeños gave it a slight kick. The margarita was ok. The draft beer was cold and tasted fine. Overall and ok experience. read more

Came here over about 2 years ago exactly. We had pizza again this time. We sat inside on this hot day, bit there was still a good amount of people sitting on the deck. We ordered the Minnezota margarita. Bummed we didn't get the little bobber this time. The pizza was perfect. Did a half and half. The Bunn pizza and the Zuper. It was enough to feed 4 adults and one child. It came out piping hot from the oven and the food was good. The interior is fun. Lots of random local things, license plates, boat parts, car parts, signs to other zorbas. Games for the kids or the adults can hop up to the bar and chill. Fishing was on the TV and decent music was playing as more people started to filter in. Since I'm not a local ill try and be back next time we come back up this direction. Went to Zorbaz for the first time this past week and was immediately charmed by the overall experience! The restaurant offers a fun setting with eclectic decor and complete substitution of the letter "z" in place of "s." Their drink offerings were varied but surprisingly only a small number of draft beers, two of which were local (and both were really good). The food was delicious and interesting. We shared two pizzas - the Joze Zorba and Lowden Zpecial - both were tasty and offered unique flavor profiles. Highly recommend stopping by a Zorbaz if you are near one! read more

Seating on their lakeside outside seating area! And inside- a local/MN beach themed genre with NOW ample seating! Just awesome !!!!! We are locals and will be visiting often!!! My sister and I stopped her for lunch on the way to the resort for the weekend. We arrived at the perfect time where the afternoon sun was out, the crowds were not and summer season had wrapped up the week before. We had no wait to order and knew what we were getting right away. We ordered the Italiano and it was AMAZING! SO GOOD! We also ordered this blue margarita that had a picture showing a bobber in it...but neither of us got bobbers in our drinks like the picture showed (thus the 1 star removal...and the lack of noting that there are hazelnuts in the drink!). Food was average at best. Also to add to the wound I played touch tunes with my own money only to have the manager turn it off completely just cause he didn't like a song or two. This is a dive bar and family pizza joint with plenty of Tex-Mex, perched on the edge of Battle Lake. I love heaping plates of nachos and pizza and sitting by the water on a picnic table and I love dive bars. This place rules. The college kids waiting tables aren't "pros", they are just good kids working their butts off at their summer jobs. This may not be for all of the foodies out there and these are not 4 Michelin Stars. These are four, middle of nowhere, dive-bar pizza stars. read more

This place has a great location next to the lake with docks to drive your boat up and get some grub! The pizza is awesome. The other food seems good also. I wasn't able to find any food that I didn't like. The worst thing about this place is that it is seasonal. They shut it down in the winter. After reading another review I couldn't help but laugh out loud, 3 drinks for under $20 is pretty good where I'm from but I'll say the pizza is overpriced, paying anything for this "pizza" is overpriced. It's not the worst out of NY pizza I've had but man do these people need help. When I lived up in Buffalo NY I worked at a thin crust wood fired brick oven spot, this is an insult to that. read more

Great location and atmosphere. Can be super busy at times with limited parking. Plan your time there accordingly and it is very fun to sit on the picnic table by the lake enjoying the view. Menu is a mix of pizza, salads and Mexican. They do have some gluten free options, which was good! read more

Really neat bar that you can drive your boat up to and dock it and go in. Had a pepperoni, supreme and some sort of peanut butter pizza (a little different take on a pizza but would still recommend trying it out if you've never had one of these before). Great bar if you want pizza or nachos and wanna spend a little time at the bar grabbing some drinks or shots. We came with a little larger of a group and they had some shot skis which is always kinda fun. I really don't get the negative reviews! Is the food only decent? Yes. Does the parking suck? Yes. Are the tables sometimes a little dirty when it is crowded? Yes. Do you have to get your own plants and napkins? Yes. Do you have to order and a counter? Yes. Do you have to get up to get your own drinks? Yes. Do you have to fight for a seat? Yes. Saying all this, it is a must on a summer night. Beautiful view of Otter Tail Lake. Beautiful people and simply a lot of fun. I can't imagine people not like it the place. That is unless they Have a stick up their blank! This is just a place we go to relax have a few brews, people watch and have a great time. Nothing more than that. We went here for the first time and it won't be the last. Great place with great food! It's located right on the lake and there are places for people to dock their boats & they will bring their food right to the boat. We sat outside. For the past 5 years we have camped up at Dead Lake for 10-14 days. One of the highlights of that time has been our trips to Zorbaz. A bunch of us adults pile in a few cars to get away from the camp (and the kids.) with the excuse of picking up PIZZA!! We pull in and usually barely find a parking spot as this place is almost always packed. We grab a couple of pitchers of Golden Light (a Budweiser product that we cannot get in KC.) We watch as the sun sets and the boats pull up to grab their carry-out. As busy as they are suddenly an order of nachos arrives and we dive in. We always get a Mexican pizza, A Tie Pie a standard pepperoni and cheese for the kids and from now on something called The Lowden Special, peanut butter, pepperoni, jalapeno and extra cheese. Good. Night. The pizza can get a bit expensive but it's more about the experience anyway. This is the first here that we were not able to attend our annual vacation and we've been missing it every day this summer. Zorbaz, we'll see you next year! read more

Are there enough ZzZz's on the menu for you? Zorbaz is your go to lakeside pizza joint serving Ottertail Lake and the Battle Lake area. It is a small restaurant chain in the lakes region of Northern Minnesota but this is the only location I have been to and can comment on. Yes, there is a bar. Yes, there is a jukebox. Yes, there is a bar outside on the patio, too. Lake Ottertail is one of the bigger lakes in the region, and there is boat access to Zorbaz on the shore. Yes, they will bring your pizzaz, macho nachoz, whateverz out on the dock to your boat for you. What could be better than a summer afternoon eating pizza or nachos or tacos on the lake??? Parking is usually kind of crazy, but I would recommend eating outside at picnic style tables on the water if you can. Get the macho nachos, or get the pizza. Best places to go to be on the lake and enjoy some no fuss food if you can't be bothered to barbeque or cook on your own. We will be ordering pizza from here at our next family reunion - can't wait! read more

This place is incredible. It is the definition of summer freedom. You can swim, kayak, water tricycle, inter-tube, scuba-dive, or drive your boat right up to the back and walk in and order. Right? And then when you're done, just jump right back into the lake and swim away. You could even skinny dip up to the restaurant if you were attractive enough not to offend anybody : ) The pizza is incredible, and the drinks aren't bad either. I've now eaten here twice, and both times have been great. The combination of Mexican food and Pizza was strange at first, but is great when half the party wants tacos and the other pizza, it quickly becomes the best combo in the world. This place has a great selection of pizzas, tacos, burritos, and to some more importantly the beer. I always make it a point to try something local, and the nice girl at the bar was more than willing to pour me a couple of tasters to help me make an informed decision. I tried the "bunn" which is an all meat treat, and my wife had a pretty basic burrito. My folks opted for the enchilada platter, which could have fed them both the portions on those were humungous! After a long day on the lake, zorbaz was the right choice. We will absolutely be back on our next visit out to Minnesota! read more

Even when I lived in Kansas City MO I Would come up JUST to get the ZuperMachoNachoz and the BBQ Chicken pizza WITH the same chicken that goes on the Nachoz (Trust me its amazing) LOVE this place and love the staff. I am on Ottertail lake with my family and occasionally we take our boat to this place and get pizza. The food is very good and you can order almost any kind of pizza you can think of. If it is crowded the wait can get up to an hour or more, and if you pull up on a boat while it is crowded you wil have to wait for an opening. I recommend if you come in a boat preorder your food so you don't have to wait. read more
