We booked online with Stasher and it was just over 13 pounds for two bags for the day. However, when we got there, signs said it's 5 pounds per bag per day. We should have just walked in! It's a no-frills place. You walk down steep stairs, which with luggage isn't ideal. Go down a small, narrow hallway and give your bags to an attendant. They'll place it in a crowded room and give you a ticket. If you don't reserve online, they take cash only.

Located in the basement of the Royal National Hotel most Contiki travelers stay at, it was very…read moreeasy to find. Lots of signage! I arrived early and quickly met the very welcoming onsite team. I was able to get information on where to ditch my luggage while I toured the city. They sell a variety of tours in London there making things much easier for someone that just flew in. The Basement is more like a lounge where you can also get Contiki swag. It's one of the spots they hold meetings with tours. You run into plenty of other travelers there, so meeting people is easy! I toured the city with someone I just met. Good times!

Piccadilly Circus stop is my usual stop when I'm staying in SOHO but I promise I'm not Jack lol! A convenient location, really... in the heart of London with the Theatre District a stones throw away and iconic Carnaby street within a stroll. Boots is the convenience store or Primark if you're into souvenir tees and socks. British Pubs a plenty too! Piccadilly Circus stop is also where I met my soul mate... pretty English-ish lady with Twiggy lashes and angelic Bardot lips. We made eye contact and... Helpfully, the cars have a designated area for luggage storage. Just don't let your own luggage get out of your sight. The Piccadilly line splits at Acton Town, heading to the North for Uxbridge and slightly more South for Heathrow, which also splits at Hatton Cross with one line going to terminals 1-2-3 and then 5, and the other going to terminal 4 before returning to 1-2-3. This can be a bit confusing for the tourists who might have some trouble with English, let alone the mumbled version of the train drivers. In addition to Heathrow, the line also stops at King's Cross / St. Pancras for the Eurostar train to Paris. This makes it the most "touristy" of the Tube lines, so expect people to ask where "Lie-chest-er" Square is (it's "less-tuh"!). This is a very long tube line, completely crossing from the northeast of London to the west/southwest. It takes about an hour and a half to go from one end to the other. Still, it's extremely useful even as the cars fill to the brim between Holborn and Earl's Court and again from Hammersmith to Heathrow.

It wasn't chaos as it tends to get in the US. The whole process to getting on and off the train was a piece of cake-definitely not stressful at all. If you are trying to get to Paris, Amsterdam, or any outer cities near London, this is the place to be when needing to take a train. I highly recommend Eurostar since it is a high speed train and will get you to your next destination fairly quick. If you are not planning to leave the city, I still recommend checking it out since it is a beauty and I heard, Harry Potter was filmed here.

The guys who came to do the moving were nice, lovely, attentive, polite. As soon as I pointed out some of the things were fragile, they told me: "We treat everything as fragile" and that's true! Not everything was packed properly by me but it all arrived perfectly intact. They took exactly the time I thought to load/unload, they showed to me how everything was secured in the van, then I went on the van with them to the new destination. They even wanted to place the boxes in separate areas in my new flat! No need really, it's a studio flat... All they asked for afterwards was to quickly wash their hands, I even offered them a drink (it was bloody hot and still they didn't sweat a bit!) but they kindly refused, off to the next job. Also, they asked me to go and check the van before they left, to make sure they haven't left/stolen anything. I would've paid even double for such a service!
