This is a new restaurant in town that has drawn a lot of attention from locals and Davao City…read morevisitors. It is literally in the middle of nowhere, thus the name. Driving to tgis location gives you an impression that you're lost or heading the wrong direction. But just when you think you need to turn around, one sees the sign to the parking lot. I would have given this place 5 atars if not for the walk from the parking lot to the restaurant. For families with little kids, I find it a little dangerous to be walking along the road towards the restaurant at night on a rainy day. Once in the reataurant, you are welcomed by a warm modern dining setting. The place is not very big, but it's spacious and inviting to patrons. I especially liked the wooden trays that they used to serve the food. It's quite unique. Our kids liked their chicken barbeque because it was tender and a hint of sweetness. I liked the Gambas n and bbq sauce. It had a hunt of Cajun taste that my hubby and I enjoy. Their iced tea was a pleasant surpise. It was served in a HUGE mason jar. That can feed a giant!. I wish they had nore than one restroom, but it wasn't too bad. I enjoyed reading and admiring the wall art leading towards the restroom. It was a creative way of guiding patrons to the washroom. The only thing missing was a sign on the dinig area door, which confused some of the patrons who were walking back from the restroom. Overall, we enjoyed the food and dining experience. This place has goof food and dessert with great service.

Just terrible experience, bad service, long wait times ordered three times and every time I ordered…read morethey had a different excuse for not having items... my party ordered ribs which they claim are their popular item.... You can't taste they are using liquid smoke and not that great

Came here for a family dinner, about 10 of us. May I just say quality, quality and quality…read more Filipino food is typically made for comfort regardless of appearance but this place makes sure that your food is both delicious and presentable! What sets this place apart from others is that they infuse local Filipino ingredients making the dishes extra tasty. We ordered a handful of appetizers, entrées, desserts and drinks ranging from Malasugue ceviche, kinilaw, pancit, turon, red wines and smoothies. The list goes on. We ordered way more than that but I was too busy enjoying the food and spending time with my family in a great environment. Family members kept ordering dishes left and right, but the severs were super attentive and brought them out promptly. No miscommunication and very professional. As you step into the restaurant you'll notice that there are many messages left by public figures in the Filipinos. It's there for a reason! It's a must-visit in Davao City. PS I am not a fan of Durian but I ate the Durian/Langka Turon as if I was.

**Great Food, But Portions Have Shrunk**…read more My girlfriend and I love Rekado. We first ate here last year and were amazed by their kare-kare and lechon kawali. Fast forward to this year, I brought my girlfriend and my brother to eat again. While the food was still delicious, the portions were significantly smaller--about 50% less. I posted a comparison of the kare-kare and lechon kawali dishes: on the left is April 2023, and on the right is May 2024. You can see that the portions have literally halved or more. Additionally, this time, the kare-kare had only one piece with actual meat, and it was very little. When we visited, there was an event, and we asked the server how long it would take for the food. The estimate was 15-20 minutes, but the food arrived in 25-30 minutes. It would have been fine if our expectations had been set correctly from the start, so we could have ordered appetizers since we were already hungry. Overall, the food is still delicious, but please improve the portion sizes.
