They don't offer refunds, but you can give or sell your tickets to someone else. You just need to give the company their name and phone number so they can inform the driver as they take attendance. Since things happen and people get sick this time of year that's a nice option. We got lucky and had a warm night for our Christmas trolley tour. It was 40 degrees, the windows weren't foggy, no rain or snow. Given our luck in weather, it made for an absolute fantastic time! Everyone also arrived on time so we were able to start a few minutes early and the driver took us to a few extra homes which I appreciated. Otherwise, they suggest that you bring a small towel to wipe the windows since the trolley is heated and the windows fog. I'm glad the trolley is heated. The company does a nice job mapping out which homes to go to. Earlier in the season there may be less decorated homes, but the weather might be better. Later in the season, I would imagine there's going to be more decorated homes. I appreciate that the company puts a lot of effort into their map and what homes they visit. The driver did a nice job taking us around and narrating. My favorites were the Taylor Swift decorated house and the decorations that are coordinated with music. In the past, we have driven around ourselves, but this just made it a lot more relaxing and was worth the cost. The cost does not include tipping the driver, so make sure to tip. The tour was an hour long, which was perfect for me but a little too long for my 3 1/2 year-old. Other reviewers mentioned wanting a 90 minute tour. If they could offer 60 and 90 minute tours I think that would be good options. Otherwise, the 60 minutes was perfect. Another idea: They could also offer a boozy tour later at night for adults only. Christmas bar hop tour?

I submitted a request on another company's website, but these guys were the ones that responded. Kristi was fantastic through all of the emailing and phone conversations. She was responsive to all of my questions and fabulous to work with. On the day of the party, our driver Ken showed up on time and was amazing! As there were people not from Chicago on the trolley I asked him to drive around to all of the sites and he was more than accommodating. He drove a great route that allowed everyone to see what the city has to offer. Another plus was that he even let my brother use his personal phone cord to charge his phone. That's something he didn't need to do, but was very kind of him. Overall, I could not be happier about using The Trolley Car & Bus Company for my birthday. From start to finish they were professional, provided an excellent service, and did it at a very reasonable price. I would 100% recommend these guys to anybody who is looking for a trolley for their special event.

She never called back, & after talking with her 3 times & hearing multiple excuses she finally said that the trolley WOULDNT BE COMING because the driver didn't show & there were no back up drivers. She was NOT apologetic, offered NO compensation beyond a refund (even when we offered to reschedule if given some compensation/incentive, like one free hour), & when told that the party was ruined she retorted "Well how do you think I FEEL?! What about ME?! This is MY BUSINESS!" Incredibly unprofessional. We made the best of the party & set off on foot... but all I could think was, what if it had been a WEDDING?! Consider this a fair warning...

I never go to O'hare without him. His is the welcome face I see after picking up baggage on a return trip. It's worth every nickle (after dealing with the hassle of flying) to simply hop in his car and shut out all the noise around you . It gives us a few more moments to savor the vacation we just came from. He's ALWAYS on time. Has always gotten me to my destination on time. So when I heard how this walking your was going to be more of a history lesson, I was into it. some of the stories seemed a bit hollywood like. But the tour guide was a great story teller. If you like haunted experiences you might be a bit disappointed. The sites themselves are all tragic events like the St Peters church and the Naperville Metra station crash. So you would definitely feel the eeriness. The fun part is the EMF meters that go off on random things - like your phone, the wires under the sidewalk - sometimes even your own heart. But that's what made it fun - and the feel of energy that could be a ghost. We had a drink at Quigleys before the tour so that helped us be silly too. Beware ladies ten ladies room at quigleys is apparently haunted! boo

The driver that picked us up at the end of the evening, Arnt, sent a text message stating that he was at a specific location, did not provide make a model of the vehicle nor the license plates without me asking for them, did not get out and open the doors for us, did not have water available for us. He did stay in contact with me back-and-forth via text message. Since he waited for us, and a late fee was never discussed, I gave him an additional gratuity of $100. This was the first time that I have ever attended a concert at Soldier Field. The limo was able to drop us off at the venue but unable to pick us up from the venue due to road closures. I was totally unaware of the reality of delay in having to walk thru the crowd for a mile to get to the vehicle afterwards. I originally made the pickup for 11:30pm. Once I reviewed how far and how long it would take to get to the vehicle, I spoke with Heidi and pushed the time back to 1200am. I feel like Heidi was aware of my concerns and probably knew that we weren't gonna make it there by 12 o'clock but yet said nothing to make me aware that the time scheduled could result in additional fees. Unfortunately, we didn't get to the vehicle until 12:30 am. So, I was charged an additional fee of $126. Heidi never once mentioned a late fee, via chat or on our phone call. Yes, upon review after the fact, the late fee is mentioned in a fine print pdf attached to the bill. Now let me tell you how even more bogus this company is, I originally asked for a pick up and drop off from a location on Calumet Avenue, which is only a mile away from the venue , to and from the venue which was only gonna be $20 less than what I was originally charged for pick up and drop off from 30 miles away. After reviewing all of this, they literally would've charged me $200 for the pick up after the concert, for making me walk a mile and walking two blocks past the location in which I asked them to drop me off at. I so wish I would have saved the chat messages with Heidi. I understand business is about making money, but you would think that you would want to have a repeat customer and not to screw them over the first time you use their service. Poor business practices = no repeat service for me!!
