This is a causal eatery is located in the Moxy Hotel in downtown in Louisville. The eatery offers an array of tacos, nachos, burritos, and they have full bar. Occasionally, they have a live DJ on site which adds to the ambiance. This is the perfect spot for late night munchies or lunch and a good place to chill and vibe out. I was impressed with the menu as they offer vegetarian options as well. I highly recommend the taco special or Loaded Nachos you will not be disappointed. The service is quick and efficient as all orders are placed through a kiosk machine with the expectation of bar orders. The venue has street parking which is a little tricky.

A very interesting place to go for an interesting conversation and good (spicy) food We stopped at the nearby Hampton inn just to the south of this restaurant. We wanted to get some comfort food to take back to our hotel so we rolled the dice and walked several blocks to this location. I almost got run over by a driver running a red light and had to avoid a few questionable people but I am very glad we made this journey for both the food and the restaurant. It is at the corner of a building on the bottom floor. It has seating inside and out. You can order either at the bar or at one of two computer kiosks to the right of the entrance. And next to the pickup window. It is a little dark inside with really neat seating areas with several game options and a fireplace. I actually played one of the games with my travelling partner while we waited for our orders to be prepared. The food came out quickly and was very good. The staff was friendly and the prices were a little high but reasonable for the location and quality. I got a chicken burrito with chips and salsa. It was good but a little spicy for my tastes. Overall, it was a good choice and a pleasant experience. It seems a great place to actually have great conversations with your friends due to the uniqueness of the seating areas. I would recommend it to fellow travelers in the area looking for a good bite in the area.

Solid choice for tacos and burritos if you're staying or drinking at the Moxy, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have tacos here. Ordering and paying at the kiosk is pretty straightforward - although it's just as easy to order at the bar if you're eating in. My two tacos, fish and pork carnitas, had good flavor but we're a bit cool temperature wise. I had better luck with the American breakfast burrito, nicely browned and stuffed with a hearty bacon, egg, sausage and cheese filling.

Tacos of many flavors. Fish taco opened to display.

The first time I tried them I went with my girlfriend and we both tried their special that was for 3 taco choose your own combo where there are no mods for $14-- this includes even mods to remove items from the taco (like pico de gallo)- otherwise you are charged or they charge you for just the standard single taco price which is more per taco than the deal. We decided to try a bunch and rank them 1-6: 1. brisket 2. pork 3. shrimp 4. spicy veggie 5. chicken 6. fish. The brisket is flavorful and tender versus the fish that tasted overdone. The pork has a great salsa on top and will fall out of the tortilla because there is so much in it. The avocado sauce is pretty good on any of the tacos. The adobe chicken was a little dry. The shrimp one isn't super breaded and they put 4 big shrimps on it with the relishes. The veggie has a nice kick and I liked the cauliflower mixed with other veggies in it. We picked off all the pico de gallo but there wasn't a lot so that was good. If they have the Mexican street corn-- totally get it. It has a little kick from the paprika but it is super tasty and has lots of cotijo cheese. It was out the second time I returned and I was a bit bummed since it was really good the first time. When I returned my second time 3 days later, I ordered with their online platform to pickup and the street corn was out, the shrimp taco was missing the sauce on top, and the pork was missing sauce as well. No limes included like when you eat in restaurant. The brisket was perfect though. I will probably come back again when I am in downtown Louisville and need a taco inch scratched.

I'm from Texas and I enjoyed the food but with some notes. The food was good by comparison it's like Chipotle and Velvet Taco fused taco which may be some regional restaurants that not everyone is aware of. I have some chicken nachos and a shrimp taco. The taco was tasty but very small for the price. The nachos seem to be lacking enough cheese from my personal taste and all the cheese was at the bottom and not on the chips themselves.

Came here with friends before a U of L game . Paloma was good! Food menu was super super limited. And very pricey I got a burrito that was decent but was $15!!

Late night trip for some tacos. ZT was a cool experience with a colorful interior. Between the music and the games you can forget about your food. There are plenty of sitting areas and the touch less pay system is a great convenience. We played Late Night Family Feud and laughed all night. The tacos are too small for my liking but flavorful. You do get three (guacamole, salsa, queso) with your bag of nachos. The joint is located within a hotel and the gym is close to the restrooms so don't be surprised to see people walk by with workout gear on. The place was great but the portion size was a the only downside for the price.

Good but not great. Service was super friendly and fast. Decent choice of a few local beers. Easy access location to the Yum Center. If not attending a show, I'd probably skip it.

This was my lunch stop. I was craving tacos so I stopped at zombie taco. 3 tacos 14 dollars and a local IPA. This is located under the bridge by KFC YUM center. The tacos were different with plenty of flavor only negative is the presentation I was hoping to look at the on a taco tray but like I said plenty of flavor different taste nothing normal or boring I liked it for that alone so 4 stars!!!

Food was really good, the staff were great, and the inside is so cool! I took my breakfast taco outside to enjoy.

Zombie Taco is the place to go for cheap delicious food if you're in Downtown Louisville. It's in a hotel lobby bar but the place is huge, they have indoor and outdoor seating for when it's warmer outside. They have a fireplace inside and lots of nooks and crannies to sit in while you wait for your food or eat. The service is all à la carte, you can order online or in the lobby via their touch screen menus. You don't have to wait long before your order is up, hot and ready! The bar itself is an expensive so I can't recommend that one but definitely get the tacos, burritos or nachos! You can't go wrong with any or all of those!

I'll update this if I ever get to try the food but for now, 1 star for closing the kitchen (ran out of half the menu items a few minutes ago) ahead of closing time. Well, I guess some other restaurant deserves my patronage more tonight.

Cool taco bar in a hip hotel lobby, MOXY. Very friendly staff with polite and welcoming service. This is more of a pick up window kind of taco place. Tacos are very reasonably priced and they offer a range of salsa, guacamole, and queso options. Impressive bourbon and cocktail selection. I recommend checking out the cocktail menu. Handmade chips and trio of dips was good, quick, and easy. I enjoyed my time here talking with the staff and it's open later than most of the other bars near by.

And I can never not get a tomatillos salsa. This place is so clean that if I had time I would have ate in. The salsa bar was also very clean and covered individually which was right up my alley. They have plenty of parking in their parking lot. Seating is first come first serve. There is patio seating and inside seating. Place your order up at the counter. Taco N Madres has an area with serve yourself, water, and variety of sauces. The inside was clean and decorated very cute. My husband and I each got a margarita. The margarita was fresh and had great flavor. We decided to split the chips and guacamole. The guacamole came out in a large bowl and was a great addition to our meal. I ordered the birria quesadilla. The Barbacoa to cheese ratio was perfect. My husband opted for the gringo taco & he said it was exactly what he was craving. Everything we ordered was excellent. Taco N Madres is worth the hype. Staff were so friendly! Thank you for a great Friday night dinner... we will be back.

As a picky eater, it was a little hard for me to find things I would eat, and no, it is not by choice that anyone comes for me. That said, I did find a few things I enjoyed. I tried the crab rangoon, and the sweet and spicy Thai chili sauce that came with it was amazing. The filling itself wasn't my favorite, but the sauce was great. The macaroni donuts were really good, too. I am not sure how they came up with maple syrup for them, but I actually liked them better dipped in the leftover Thai chili sauce from the crab rangoon. My friends and I also split a flight of tacos. I got the Becky and swapped the tobacco onions for caramelized onions, which was absolutely worth it. My only complaint is that the meat came as one large chunk instead of being diced up and mixed throughout the taco. One of my friends had the same issue with the steak. It was still delicious, but I think it would have been better if the meat had been chopped smaller. This is definitely a place for someone who wants a more creative taco experience. I enjoyed parts of it, but much of the menu just wasn't for me.
