I was told that the charging port is £50 (I got the same thing repaired last year for £25 in another Selly Oak service) but that he can even fix the plastic for £70. I agreed becuase I wanted to sell my laptop eventually so I figured I could sell it better this way. Little did I know that it will only get glued with the glue being very visible and laptop is still not able to close properly.

In the meantime transferred my back up on my hard drive (what, you think I hadn't backed up?!) onto my spare laptop to make sure my Outlook (the most important thing) worked OK. I lost a bit of work and the spare was no-where as good as mine but, as a freelancer, thank goodness I could carry on working and not let clients down. On top of repairs, they can upgrade your machine and indeed they sell refurbished and new laptops. And PCs too, if that's your preference. I was recommended my trusty Samsung NC10 netbook which they ordered in for me and I have loved and used every day since. I will definitely be going back for the advice and purchase of this little dynamo's replacement when the time comes. They tend to open and close late and keep you posted on any repairs plus there prices are very reasonable.
