Richard Granatoor helped me out. He was very attentive, had me take a seat while he went to see if he can have the watches looked at right away. After being surprised by Josef's approximately $900 quote to replace the movement of the watch (a standard quartz movement that itself is available for sale online for ~$40) I took the watch to JR Dunn in Pompano--an authorized Tag dealer and repair shop, where Josef's is not--and was quoted less than $300 to have the entire job done, by Tag themselves, with a warranty. Shamelessly quoting 3x a certified dealer for the exact same job is outrageous.

We chose them due to the amazing reviews and they continue to be amazing every time we visit. They have helped restore several of the ur pieces from rings, necklaces, earrings and watches. They are experts and are so reliable. It's always nerve wracking to leave your jewelry with anyone however I trust them completely. Just wanted to give them a huge thank you for taking such great care of us. Today I picked up my engagement ring that lost a prong so I was so scared to lose my diamond and they quickly worked to fix it and made sure everything was secure and sparkling bright! We will confidently continue to use them as our jeweler.

There are a bunch of vendors all under one roof. I was able to speak to a few places that made offers and picked the place that made the best offer for each item. High end watches are in demand, are highly competitive... it pays to look around if you want to buy or sell... there's a few good spots here. For gold jewelry, typically all they really care about is the karat type 14k, 18k, 24k etc. and the weight. They give you an offer on the spot and will pay you cash. I found the price varied somewhat so best to go to 2 or 3 spots. You get the hang of it quickly. I found the people I met here to be very nice and were respectful... not pushy. I saw people mostly buying items... jewelry, esp. diamonds. I believe there's also 2 other locations... Boynton and Aventura.
