Very accessible Italian chain restaurant located on the South Terrace of Westfield. You can't miss it, as it is adjacent to one of the mall's main entrances. To avoid the rush on a weekend evening, we made a late dinner reservation and after drinks elsewhere on the terrace, we came back and were greeted with a less busy house.
There is plenty of seating, ambient decor, and a varied menu. To start, we ordered the Little Soul Bread, which went well with their whipped garlic butter; the accompanying aubergine dip was forgettable. That was followed by pasta and calzone as our mains. My Pulled Beef & Venison Strozzapreti had tender meats and tough pasta. The Calzone portion was large and well-dressed with a tasty prosciutto topping.
As far as the food went, everything was okay including our Chocolate & Banana Calzone dessert. Prices were as expected albeit higher than average. Service was slow and inattentive as the evening went on, especially when receiving our bill. The server seemed more intent on packing up the restaurant for closing rather than taking care of customers ready to leave.
Zizzi wasn't a bad place to dine (it did its job for a full meal), but some aspects could be improved. read more
