Long version: My lawn mower called to tell me he "found" a nest of yellow jackets burrowed into the ground when he ran over it with his lawnmower. Fortunately he is ok and only got stung once when they swarmed out because he started taking his weed whacker to them. It was after hours when he called me so I couldn't do anything about it until the next day. I did some research and made a few phone calls, then created a Yelp project as well. Several places returned my call and insisted on doing monthly maintenance after the initial treatment, even though I insisted I wanted them gone the first time they came and didn't want to do anything monthly. I'm not unrealistic, I know it is a HUGE hazard and a big deal to get rid of the any type of hornet, but some of the prices I was being quoted were equivalent to car payments, and the others didn't offer options without the monthly fees. I was getting discouraged by how much many places were fear mongering and trying to upsell me, so on Saturday I called up the lawn guy to see if he was still willing to get rid of them for me (he had offered to take carte of them himself, but I didn't want him getting swarmed and stung again so I told him to let me make some calls first). He was hesitant, but was still willing to do it. He was going to do some checking to see what he needed to do and how and let me know how much he needed for supplies and do it the next week. Skip ahead to Sunday afternoon. On Sunday one of the companies I had called, The Local Guy Pest Control, called me back and immediately apologized for taking so long to return my call (he had been out of town). No worries, I understand that. It is a small, local, family owned business where the owner himself comes out to do the service. Great! I love to support small businesses! How much to get rid of the problem and what will you do? (By now I had a pretty good idea of what it would take to kill the colony and destroy the nest, courtesy of bee and wasp handlers form all over the country posting videos online.) The owner showed up at my house bright and early on Tuesday, within 24 hours of me agreeing to use his service Monday morning. He was at my house for about 30 minutes and got rid of the colony, then treated the nest so any stragglers who were already out for the day would die when they returned. He was fast, thorough, and efficient. The price was very reasonable for the amount of time and risk involved in the job, AND he assured me that monthly maintenance was definitely NOT needed. He offered a guarantee on his services, so if I notice renewed activity I can simply call him back to take care of it. Tuesday night I let my lawn mower know the deed was done and that he didn't need to worry about doing it. He returned Wednesday evening to mow, so I checked in with him on the status of the nest. He reported back that not one single yellow jacket came out of the hole they were in, so all was well. SO many thanks to The Local Guy Pest Service! My mom is allergic and my dog is small, so this was literally a life-saving service for them! I will go to The Local Guy Pest Service first for ALL of my future needs, you have earned a new repeat customer with this one.

The two,young men were very professional, clearly explaining the process they used to rid us of the bats, but in a way that did not harm them. We have to wait a couple of weeks till the babies are old enough to leave the area but will not be able to reenter. A portal is installed that allows the bats to leave but too small for them to come back in. That's the process.

They would email me the contract and all i had to was sign it. No one had to be out at the land. The day of the appointment I called them and told them I could not access the contract. They said someone would have to be at the land to sign and then changed the time on me from 4-6. They would call me to let me know they are on the way which no one did call. Once at the land the guy stated there would be more of a charge than quoted. Now 3 different quotes. I said no to forget it and he said a manager would call me in the morning which no one ever did. DO NOT recommend this place at all.

Their inspector was supposed to come back out in a two hour window Never showed up. They want to send another company out to do it again. I have no extra storage in my modular home so I had to rent a storage unit. They want me to do it again and won't cover the charges this time. Not going to happen and saying that me moving stuff out of the house like I was instructed to is what is causing the bedbugs because those items weren't treated. I don't know if it was just a coincidence, but with the name change there was a distinguishable downgrade to their service. Before I cancelled the service, I offered them an opportunity to comeback and do the job that was expected. We set up an appointment for the following week. I was sent a text or email stating they would be back on a specific day and given a time frame of between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. I waited until 4:30 pm at which time I called them and canceled that appointment. The next time I called I asked them to delete my on file credit card and asked for half of the payment, since they did a half a _ _ job. I was told that wouldn't work for them.
