To the Zips on Airline Rd, the employee, a woman of color, today was in a bad mood AND was on her cell phone when we arrived. There needs to be a no cell phone policy when working with the public. As for her attitude, it seemed we interrupted her cell phone time as I was trying to input my membership number on the screen. Go anywhere else. I travel for work and like a clean car, so I bought the $20 package 2 years ago. Price has steadily risen, now $40 month for worse service - CANCELLING membership today. When I run through a Zips in Arkansas, or at the beach or anywhere other than Memphis, it's always pleasant. All Memphis area Zips are the worst run washes I've experienced. At this location, there's a brush on the right side that hasn't worked in over a year. Half of car enters wash before soap starts spraying, nobody ever pre sprays. Many nozzles clogged, so soap, rinse and polish are all inadequate. Vacuums have almost no suction, very frustrating. It's not this location only - Hwy 64, and the new one on Appling are bad and going down hill. Both Arlington and Hwy 64 have huge potholes at the exit that will damage your car - can't even fill that. There are some good auto washes around town - AVOID Zips, they deserve to go out of business. read more

I have a monthly subscription for unlimited carwashes and it's never open. It's not in good condition and needs a lot of repair work. I will be canceling my membership and won't be back. It's too bad, it has a great location and could be a thriving business under new ownership. read more

I truly believe that the lady that works there is sabotaging that location because if she tell her managers that there's soap, then people will be very inclined to go to another location because the always has an attitude and she is always on the phone!!!! Referring to the Zips Car Wash at this location In Arlington, TN off Airline rd 38002. Went through the car wash and towards the end I heard a loud cracking noise like something broke. As I parked to vacuum and I investigated the noise and noticed my 3rd brake lights broke off. It's located on the top of my tail gate. The manager Nate told me to fill out an incident report and the District Manager will reach out to me with a solution. Well not even 24 hours later the District Manager made the decision there's nothing he/she will do in this matter. Pretty much I had to fix it out of my own pockets! Did not even offer a free car wash! I own a Cadillac Escalade so the part is pretty expensive! The part cost me $338 plus tax and the car wash $10, total this car wash cost me around $375 for the 3 mins car wash and vacuum.... District Manager here SUCKS!!! Hopefully karma will come back and do the same if not more damage and more money out of this person's personal pockets!! Zips Car Wash will never see another penny from me again because of this individual!! read more

Spent $25 on their "Best" wash and when I drove thru the wash, it didn't even spray the car with soap. Not to mention the attendant that sometimes stands at the entrance to hose down your car before driving in does a half-a$$ spray of only one side of your car. When I parked to vacuum my interior I noticed the car wash machine dented my hood and since they NEVER give you a receipt there's no way to claim the damage. AVOID THIS PLACE. Seriously. Worst value for the money. Just paid $30 for the premiere and k have seen basic car washes do a much better job. Tire shine was part of the package. My tires look just as dirty as they were when I entered. Should have heeded the low ratings. Total waste of money. Employees rude and just shuffled me through. Do not patronize. read more

When I first signed up for the unlimited wash they used to spray the front of the car. While this was not a complete wash, there is no effort to spray the front of your car. This leaves a lot of bugs still on the front. Beware of the large hole when leaving the wash. Today my tire tipped the metal plate and hit the bottom of my car. See the picture attached. read more

I find it ironic and irritating that the brush can leave impact marks on the paint but can't remove dust or dirt of the panel of doors . I've given this place a shot or more than one occasion to see if this is an one off occurrence but now I'm convinced it is just S.O.P. I'm done with it I guess when you're the only game in the area,it's whatever With the clientele. I'll hand wash in the winter before I spend another dollar with this one.. Zips Car Wash in Arlington is a case study of what happens when a great business idea is poorly executed with absentee employees, North Koreanesque operational ability, and a Rip Van-Winkle like grasp of time. I am normally not a person to have a complaint with anywhere i go (matter of fact i've never even wrote a bad review for somewhere,) however this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The worker I encountered with today (older lady but did not get name) was extremely rude, screamed in my face, talked condescendingly to me, and looked at me like i was stupid. I am a member at this car wash and she treated me with absolutely no respect while I did nothing wrong. I was simply sitting there and she was saying "what is wrong with you???" and making several other rude remarks at me. Courtney Boyd was right there to help me and suggested an updated strip He took total care of everything and even checked to make sure it worked before giving it to me. Purchased a membership about a month ago. Aside from half the vacuums being broken or turned off, and they don't spray the front of the car like they did at first - and like their sign says, and their attendants are as rude and unfriendly as can be... well, okay. Not that big of a big deal... The real problem is that I have been 4 times - twice last week and twice yesterday, and all four times the attendants vehicle was there, but there are cones in the drive preventing anyone from entering and no one is in sight. FOUR times in one week. I always see several vehicles trying to get their cars washed and having to leave as well. I have canceled my membership. read more

I simply do not have enough space to go on and on about how terrible this car wash is at the local level in being the location itself, all the way up to the corporate level and beyond. I was even told that the cancellation process would be just as difficult to do as I was experiencing in simply being able to get my membership to work. Had another customer with a similar name that every time I went and had to go through the whole wait of digging through the accounts; they would change a similar name account so I could go through. More than likely the next time that customer attempted to use his membership, I would then have mine changed back to wrong so he could use his membership, and round and round this went until I inquired about canceling, having been told like I previously stated, that this process would likely be more difficult or just as difficult as simply getting my account to work as it should, EVEN AFTER GOING THROUGH ISSUING NEW ACCOUNT AND BARCODE HAVING DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TOWARDS MAKING IT FUNCTIONAL FOR ME!!!! Again, many opportunities to improve. However this has to be the single worst Zips in the Mid South Area. I hope it improves but for one it's closed more often than it's open, even tho all the lights are on, both lanes will be blocked off to no entrance. This Arlington location did not start as a Zips. It was locally built and owned and quite small for a drive through wash but when newer, it was decent. Ever since Zips took over, it's simply terrible. You get about half of the wash time, it seems that some of the brushes aren't working or don't move, it misses the front and rear center, hardly touches the wheels and only dries about halfway leaving spots. All of this plus $10 for a basic wash when I'd question even $5. You'd do much better finding a full length 3 minute wash where all of the brushes and rollers are working. Last but not least, it has been "mysteriously" closed two evenings recently and this last time, the worker was actually there and said someone damaged the lift gate. This lead me to wonder why the second lift gate is ALWAYS closed (no exception) and why it couldn't be opened in this case? Sounds more like closing early to me but who really knows. read more

This is a good car wash. You pay and drive up to the attendant who guides you on to the track. It did a good job washing my car. There are free vacuums to use once you are done with your wash. Great location in Arlington. read more
