The one by the airport is good, it would be great if ALL the locations had equipment that worked! The ones downtown asheville isn't great. Trash everywhere, for those of us who pay for the car wash we'd love to not have people just fly in to use the vacuums and clog up the trash. The new towels dispensary I thought was nice.. but now I'm finding that the locations have wet towels shoved back in. So if you're wiping down your car with a used rag that smells like smoke or mildew that's what your car will smell like... Wish so many people wouldn't have stolen the spray bottles and the rags they wouldn't have had to switch to a towel dispensers that are rarely clean dry towels. I'm in Florida 5 months out of the year. While there I use Woodie's Wash Shack, so I'm accustomed to great service and equipment. Zips is not up to that standard. It leaves dirt and bugs, and doesn't dry well. The vacuums are very weak and they don't have spray bottles of window and all purpose cleaner. Instead they have pumps attached to the rag dispenser, not sure what you're supposed to do with those. A sign asks that you only use 2 rags for drying....really ‍. Overall this is a poor quality car wash, lots of room for improvement. read more

Wtf is going at this carwash? I have two vehicles- both have membership and we use this carwash weekly. For over a year! Today the vacuums had barely any suck to them and none of the air pressure hoses worked. No towels out so we patiently waited - went to knock on the door and a kid kicked the door open and handed me two towels before I could even ask. The kid had to of seen multiple people standing around the towel bar waiting. Place was trashed and we are now shopping for a new car wash. Pressure hoses at tunnel road location have not worked all year either. Why am I paying for two premium memberships to run dirty hoses through my car and put up with shitty customer service. Many of us talked while waiting for towels - we were hoping that the resent renovation ( that shutdown the carwash for over a week with no warning or reimbursement to customers with membership) would have improved the vacuumed and air pressure hoses. Shape up Zips! Hero's Carwash down the street is about to get my business- they have actually taken the time to insure a clean environment with cleaning product that don't appear to over or under diluted depending on who is working. Fabulous car wash as far as the wash itself. However, a couple months ago I asked for the basic, and was charged $18 which is the "basic plus". Today, I asked for the basic and was given all the options $18 and up. So I asked if they had a cheaper one and she said there is a regular basic for $12. I said that's what I want. She said it's just a rinse. I said "no soap"? She said she didn't think so. I got it anyway and there was plenty of soap!! Please don't try to sell me something by being dishonest. I don't understand how people can negatively rate a car wash. It's a car wash. With the purpose to wash your car ... which it did a fine job doing. I signed up for their service in January 2025. By March of 2025, I realized this was not a service that would be used on a regular basis. Accordingly, I canceled my membership in March 2025 and thought everything was fine. In September of 2025, Zips charged my card a monthly fee of $35 even though the membership was canceled in March of 2025. I noticed Zips of their error and they refused to refund the $45 and stated their decision was final. I have notified my bank of the fraudulent transaction and am taking additional steps against Zips. I cannot recommend Zips at this time. read more

I don't typically write reviews unless I have had wonderful service but it needs to be said this car wash is the biggest rip off in town. I purchased the $30 wash which is higher than any wash in town and what a disappointment! The kids working directing cars were not even pre-spraying the cars nor did they push in the mirrors like they do at less expensive car washes. They literally just directed you in. I switched bays multiple times and none of the vacuums worked. I don't mean they picked up very little, they did not work at all! No clean towels to use, they were all dirty. Ana the grounds of this car wash was dirty. Overflowing cans and trash everywhere (see pic) . And again my wash was $30! Display sucks if you ask me ever since I got that new old things went downhill car wash either the vacuums are all clogged up and I pull up myself and unclog them every time and I mean every time I run six or seven cars through a day and every time I run them through the car wash, I had to unclog the vacuum point being they don't even spray the cars don't even properly check anything in the equipment if anything corporate needs to come in here and do a big clean thoroughly. My partner has a subscription and tries to use it regularly. The tag on the upper driver's windshield triggers the gate once one touches the screen. Sometimes there are personnel at the drive up order screen to assist with purchase, answer questions and retract that oft forgotten passenger side view mirror. Most recently I met, Jon, who helps manage this location. He's a friendly, knowledgeable Veteran who still serves in the Reserves. He mentioned that two new washes are being opened in Fletcher and Mills River. The quality of the wash has always been great and the vacuums and supplies post-wash work well and are fully stocked. The subscription is a value proposition considering the cost of a single wash. It will be more useful given the new washes near the south end of Asheville. read more

This car wash is one of the worst washes that I have experienced. As it's cold outside, I paid for the Second Tier wash before picking up family at the airport. Front, mirrors, rear, windshield and bumper were not cleaned. Weeps looked like they were not even touched. Poor value, quality and an overall bad experience. Just take a hose at home and spray off your vehicle for a better "wash" and save the $18.00! read more

My first time using this car wash resulted in $600 damage to my van. Four trips back to the location and several phone calls and emails before I got a response to my claim. My claim was denied because I should have been aware that it is not a brushless car wash (so I should have expected damage?) and they do not cover vehicles over 7 years old. I hope an attorney will find enough complaints in western NC to start a class-action suit against this company, who plans to add several new locations in this part of North Carolina. The WORST! Most of the time when I go there during business hours they are closed. Whether this is because the equipment has broken down once again, or they all felt like taking a break, is unknown. But when they are open, and you must have contact with an employee, they are beyond rude and obnoxious. I truly don't know how they can stay in business. While I realize it is difficult these days to find people to work, I would prefer not to have to deal with employees who are verbally abusive. They enrolled me in a monthly membership without my knowing, forged my signature on a membership, included a random phone number and license plate that was not mine on the form and are now fighting me to return 3 months worth of fraudulent charges. My wife drove through trying to get her car washed and was told about a special for unlimited car washes for the month for $15. She got a sticker and went back a couple times that month. She thought that was the end of it. We recently realized that every month after that since October we have a $35 charge (for those following along at home that's an additional $140). We've reached out to them about the issue, but there hasn't been any response. The credit card company will likely have to get involved given the experiences I've read about from other customers. They got my car wet. My first time here was less than spectacular. Going through the wash got about 80% of the car clean when asked to be run through again I was denied. The floor mat machine barely works after running the mats through about 5 times it was tolerable. With so many other options available I don't see any reason to come back here. read more

The Arden location is hit or miss. I have a membership and tend to find my membership sticker is only recognized in one lane and that tends to be the one they close first. If I am going thru for a basic wash it is fine. But, if I have been traveling and need to remove a lot of bugs I tend to have to drive-through twice. I became a member in Jan 2023, and have become acquainted with many of the staff, from Cody to Christian and Philip, all of whom go to great lengths to give me great service. Second time in two weeks that my car has gotten a hazy, milky smear on the passenger side, across the hood, windshield and down the back. Hard to remove at home. Something is either leaking onto the brushes on that side or they have picked up something and continue to spread it. Also, the scanner often does not work. read more

They used to have one for both sides of your car but they put them on lock down because of covid and most of the hoses are too short to reach the other side. Good luck here. They had a deal only $20 a month for full wash, so i signed up. Then i find out its only for the first month then goeas up to $35. So ok I go ahead and do it cause the kid working there said just call when your month is up and you can cancel. They usually do withdraws on the 4th I think. OK so I do that I ahve been steady calling this company to cancel for 6 days now. All I get is a recording that says sorry we are busy withother customers. Leave a message and we will call you back by end of business day. I have had no return call.
