Krystal was very knowledgeable and when I explained my medical history of asthma she knew exactly what happens with me and how everything goes straight to my chest. The exam was thorough but quick. She prescribed me exactly what I needed and transmitted the scripts over to CVS right across the street. I was in/out and home with my scripts in under an hour (CVS was the longer wait) Recently changed jobs and didn't have my new insurance card so I had to self pay; the office visit cost was less than expected and very reasonable. All and all it was a good experience and I would definitely use Gateway again and recommend them to others.

I have visited this practice 2 times and both times have seen Theresa Hutchison. Both times she prescribed medications that were not useful in treating the bronchitis and sinus infection I had. Both times I told her that the medications had not worked in the past. I also witnessed her send out 3 patients to the er with very simular complaints to mine. Her nurse could not take a blood pressure properly, and gave the practioner a blood pressure that she could not obtain using the palpation method. She also listened to my lungs and told me they were clear, which was not the case as I listened to them prior to going to the clinic and they were anything but clear. Just for information, I have been an EMT for over 25 years. MS Hutchison never listened to my lungs herself and was more concerned with why I was back at her clinic. She told me I should see my family doctor, and I informed her I could not do this because I had to change my primary care doctor due to my normal one leaving the area. She asked me when I could see him, and I told her I had an initial visit on April 29th and could not see him before then. We went over this 4 times. She discharged me after an x ray which showed changes in my lungs with a prescription for an antibiotic that I had previously been on and told her didn't work, and instructions to see my primary care doctor next week. This is a week and a half before I can see him. She also prescribed an inhaler that I was already taking. Please if you need to see a doctor save yourself the headache and money and find another clinic or go to the emergency room.

Even though I have a $30 co-pay that is clearly printed on my insurance card they still charge me…read more$150 plus. Why are they charging me $150 when I have a $30 co-pay??? This happened one other time and I just went ahead and paid it but now they're trying to charge me $150 again. I called the Martin County urgent care and they told me to call the billing department, which is a nightmare to try to get anything resolved.

Convenient care is convenient, I suppose, in all things but the wait time. Then again, I'm pretty sure I've waited longer at the emergency room. We waited an hour before we were finally called back to a room, there we saw a nurse and waited another thirty minutes for a doctor to come back. Once she did there was a lot of poking and prodding of my son's finger, which I am just going to assume was medically necessary, before she decided he needed stitches. We waited another 10-15 minutes to be moved to another room where they gave him a shot to numb his finger and he then received three stitches. I wasn't sure if they could give stitches at convenient care but I was pleasantly surprised that they did & we were not just redirected to the hospital. Everyone we came in contact with from reception, to nurses, to the doctor were all very nice & friendly. If the need arose for convenient care again, which I'm sure it will with a clumsy child on my hands, I would gladly come back to this location for any services needed for my family or myself. The only problem I had was the wait time, which is pretty common from most places like these, but if they could shorten those wait times, that would be great!
