It looked like a big job and it looked urgent...I noticed that the construction team wasn't standing around...they were clearly on mission. The next day, you couldn't tell that there had ever been any work done at all...the sidewalk was swept and there was no trash left behind. I can see why Orange County hired them.

What a nightmare! It took me months to get a roof installed. The hurricane was in September and…read moreit was March until they finally got the roof installed. I talked to the sales representative, office manager, owner, owner's business partner, general manager and production manager. Most of which were next to impossible to get in touch with. I was guaranteed a completion date of December 23 or there would be a $250 penalty for each day after. Well, they were only 3 months late and of course, the general manager said the letter which was signed by the salesman would not be honored because he would never agree with that. Well, he did sign it and he was the one negotiating the contract and was the only company person involved at the time. After the installation, there were a few things left which were to be completed and I was waiting for the production manager to schedule them but before that happened, I received a notification from their attorney demanding payment in full for everyone. The money they demanded also included 2 skylights and they only installed 1. The one they did install was over a utility room and not the kitchen which was contracted and had to be moved. I sent them a check for everything except the one skylight to the address on the contract but could you believe it, they moved. It took 2 weeks for them to get the check. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!

He handled everything from measuring, providing advice, county permits to complete installation. His crew took two days to complete the job. The first day was devoted to tearing down the old fence. The second day was devoted to setting the new fence. All of their posts were concreted in. The gate is solid with upgraded hardware. My neighbors saw what they had done and actually had their fence replaced by the same company. I'm very happy with everything they have done. Couldn't ask for a better outcome.

While I cannot speak to the quality of their product and/or installation, I will tell you why I…read moredecided to seek an alternative fence company. To begin with customer service is paramount to me. If you say you're going to do something, then do it. To wit, follow up phone calls when you say you will. Tom Roderick left a message on his voicemail that he would be returning to work by April 28, but he listens to and follows up on all is voicemails. Unfortunately, this was not the case as I had to call him twice more after the 28th- he never contacted me. When we did manage to meet at my house to survey the property, he informed me that he would have a quote ready by noon the next day and that I would be contacted. Suffice to say that "email" came two hours late. Continuing, when I asked , via email, if we "Backyard Fence" could present a slightly better offer, I was sent a terse response from Susan Roderick that their "quote is not negotiable". I believe such hardline responses such as that are not the best customer service responses. The above may seem trivial to some, but I am the customer- not "Backyard Fence". Hence, I went with a competitor who DOES practice good customer service. Rod Ragazzo Windermere, FL

The salesman was able to work with our price and made sure we were happy with the situation. The next step is the hardest part, the waiting. We signed the contract in October, and they didn't start building until March. The waiting was very nerve-wracking. Melissa was fantastic, keeping us updated through the whole process. It just felt like the entire process took a lot longer compared to other screened porches. When they finally started, they were able to get the work done in a couple of days. The workers were great, and they were very detailed oriented. The final product was a beautiful screened-in porch that everyone loves. The one thing I love is the kick plates for the screened porch match the house. So it feels like an addition to the home. (They are one of the few places that finance, so they do work with you)

Both times, they've taken all of the stress out of a major home renovation/repair. They put an incredible amount of care into all their work and treat your home as if it were their own. Each day, they covered everything in the area to ensure there was no excess dust (very important to me, having asthma). They covered my floors to protect them from all the traffic. The finished products were incredibly beautiful and flawless! They even had someone come by and clean the house! It was spotless! I don't have a single complaint! On top of all of this, his staff has the best customer service I've ever seen in a contracting company. They arrived early every single day and worked HARD! At the end of each day we were excited to see all the progress! It really was an exciting experience. Additionally, his crew is incredibly friendly! Slow service, outsourcing to third party teams and sloppy work -- we gave up…read more CSL Construction was recommended to us by a water damage crew after a pipe burst in our home. While the water damage crew (a seperate company) did a great job, CSL has been a headache for the past 3+ months. A project, initially slated to be 2-4 weeks took over 3 months. Workers regularly showed up at 10:30 am to leave by 2pm. So I believe this project could have been finished in that time frame, if people actually showed up. The first image I use to show the date of July 17th, already well into their construction as you can see drywall put back up. Today, September 14, the project was "ended," not necessarily finished, but we gave up with CSL's standards. Along with having third party companies do their work (CSL denies this, but the employees themselves gave me their business cards and told them to call "the real workers" for our next project), we only spoke to our project manager when we had serious issues, when we were told he would show up every 2-3 days. NOT ALL NEGATIVE -- I will say, the hardwood flooring installation was done really well. We requested the floor colors and plank length to be mixed around to make it appear random and they did a really good job at that. * It makes me believe that we were given a team that is focused on floors but can "also kind of" do baseboard. * I will also state that our rebuilt bench is really well done. But, I have to note that Project Manager Hunter himself said that the team of two working on it didn't work under CSL and were hired out. I am disappointed in poor communication, sloppy finishing work and the slow speed. I gave a 2 star, instead of 1, because of the nice looking floor and bench installation. And 1 star (to me) would mean they didn't get the project to a livable level.

My daughter recently purchased a house in the Orlando area with numerous problems--including a…read morefailing roof. Being the fiercely protective mom I am, I committed to finding her a good roofer. Investing so much money was anxiety inducing, particularly after reading horror stories about botched jobs and unscrupulous roofers, but I was determined to make a well-informed decision. I spent two months studying roofs, learning about types of materials and construction, reading articles and blogs, and making phone calls--lots of phone calls. I called an engineer. I called the county building department. I called friends. And I called about a dozen roofing companies in the Orlando area (I could probably write an essay about the nonsense I heard from some of these companies). I listened carefully and researched their responses. I read reviews and I read every line in the contracts sent to me by about half of them. I was relentless because this was my kid I was protecting. Happily, my diligence paid off and my daughter now has a quality roof and sparkling new gutters. Robert Bonesteel at Sheegog Contracting was the project manager I worked with. He spent MONTHS speaking with me. I can honestly say that no one has ever worked harder for my business. Through it all, Robert was extremely kind and never once made me feel that my questions were stupid. He explained things clearly and sometimes took over an hour to clarify something. He never pressured me and encouraged me to read and investigate other companies, which I absolutely did.  Sheegog didn't just slap on a roof. They used GAF Timberline HDZ premium shingles. They repaired decking under the leak and addressed other minor issues. The work site was spotless when they left, but Robert wasn't satisfied. He came out with a magnetic detector and scoured the area for stray nails. He answered my questions and pointed out repairs. He sent a wind mitigation expert. I'm immensely grateful for Robert's kindness and his company's excellent work. Several of my neighbors are interested in having their roofs redone by Sheegog.  To Robert and the team at Sheegog: thank you. You guys rock!
