After you write down your wishes, you ring the brass round bell pot and place your wishes in the bottom of the planter. You choose your flowers from the flower bar, as well as selecting your crystals. This weeks crystal is a moonstone. Zay, the young woman with wispy blue streaks, is our Zinkstown helper. So much fun! Hard to believe that a "succulent planting party" would float my boat, but it absolutely did! Totally unexpected! ! I attended a special group event here a month or so ago. So much fun that I just had to take two of my friends back here to celebrate their birthdays. There was no doubt in my mind that this place was the perfect birthday present and time to spend with them. Memories. Pat myself on the back . . . they loved it and I think they will bring other friends back to have this experience also. Zinks Town is an art gallery that also specializes in the experience of creating a lasting magic memory with their "Succulent Bar". Creating the magic: You select a container& then select one or two plants from an extensive variety of succulents. Next step is creating a memory / desire that you place in the bottom of the container, followed by planting your succulent(s); then placing "wish" supporting Ingredients (mine were Lemon Grass, Hibiscus, Roselle, Chrysanthemum, Mallow Flower, and a couple I can't remember how to spell!); then you select magic crystals (mine were Black Lace Agate, Green Aventurine, & Lapis Lazuli); and finally you add decorations. Yep decorations. Important thing is to remember to select a container that will fit all that. I love it when a business creates opportunities to come away with more than satisfying your thirst, fixing your car, supplying you with groceries or cooking your dinner. ZINKS town is absolutely adorable! FOUND them in Instagram. And since my sister lives here I knew it was a saved place we had to visit! I traveled 800 miles so continues to read.. could have saved $13. Been eyeing this since I saw it, so we made a quick trip here. Total time to make was about 30-45 min. We came in Wednesday. And might be doing a little more to the shop which is great! I could have stayed longer but we had other thing to do... First of all the owner greeted us. Didn't catch her name? She was very sweet, explained how it works. So 3 pricing for the plants if you coming here for the pick your pottery / plant experience $39, $49, $59. Included the succulent from 1,2, or 3 plus the whole workshop experience. Also if there are hand painted pots, I believe they are an extra $10 on Top of the price. Next you choose you potential pot. Choose your succulent. And greeted to sit at a workstation and make some magic!!! You the write down your manifestation for the year, and this will be planted in the bottom of your plant. Then she explained we choose 3 stones that are similar to your manifestation. Then 9 flowers (dried) to stuff in the cutest little potion bottles that are also planted or sticked down on the side like I did. You wrote these down - now go grab your dried flowers to stuff in the potion bottles. Super cute set up as well! Very clean organized. Easy to find and read upon choosing your flowers. I mean its flower power and chakra amazingness. The owners helper or assistant came and grabbed our stones we chose. So we can plant this last. But I can see they were busy not helping clients but worries about stocking up in droves flowers. I think there are some kinks to fix. Or better delegating. So fun part : decorating, you grab a little tray at the end of the bar and grab your sands, rocks, gem stones, and additions sparkles you like to add. They have a section in the middle that's range for an extra $.50- $2.50 I think for extra fun cute pieces. But we kept ours simple. Definitely will come back for more of an extravagant plant collection but were pressed for time today. The owner even helped us plant the plants gave us tips of how to do the proper planting so we can show off our work under the plant which was so cute. Also I'm from California, so I got to sign her map to be the first one! Which was so fun! Y'all have to try this out. All in all for the two pots it was $84 with tax. --_-- yeah.... So I honestly think the pricing is steep. For two tiny pots. One one succulent each. ALSO IF SHE WOULD HAVE MENTIONED I COULD HAVE SAVED 15% off my review could have been nicer at the end. I guess new business learnings... she should have said hey, want to save 15% off today ? Write me a review. Instead of the angry one I could have wrote‍. The thing is your paying for the experience. I would have justified $10-$15 for the pots small. and plants should be $5. But $60? For a pot and 3 succulents... I'm sure there are cheaper ways to go about the pots. I don't want to sounds rude. But for like families and parties? It's pricey hope you find this review helpful! Because I had just as many questions when I came in. A literal gem of a place in Albuquerque! Saw this place a while back when we were planning our vacation and definitely wanted to make time to try it out. It was a very wonderful experience! If you're into succulents, manifesting, and being in a cool laid back atmosphere then you need to come here! Marissa and Jonathan were very accommodating and sweet explaining the details to us. Jonathan especially was sweet helping my daughter with her succulent. I loved how 99% of the decorations bar is free. Also, loved how you can also pick up to 9 flowers/seeds and up to 3 crystals as well. It completely makes the overall price worth it! The whole experience was about a hour or so long so make sure you give yourself time for all of the fun! They also have really fun items you can also purchase, and a really fun USA map that you can put your name on letting others know where you're visiting from! We absolutely loved our experience here! The atmosphere is super fun and whimsical. You get to pick from a ton of pots that can fit any budget. Then after that you make a wish or dream to put inside. With the instructions of the stuff they help you pick your flowers and crystals to add. Once you plant from a huge selection of succulents you can decorate your plant. They have all kinds of cute add ons. The young lady Zaydyn helped us and she was so sweet and very personable. Gave us the entire run down on how to. While she ran a very busy shop and helped many other people she was very professional and never forgot about us. This started out as a super cute spontaneous family outing and quickly turned sour. Their website asks for reservations but we were able to walk in since they had openings. You pick your pot from the center shelves. Each pot is marked by a color coded sticker which will indicate price and number of succulents you get to choose. You then get to choose plants from the corner shelves. You write down your wish and pick stones to help with that wish. If you pick a succulent that is a "premium" plant the lady with blue hair strands will be sure to let you know while you're in the middle of planting that it's five dollar extras in a loud, rude and shrill voice. Wether it's because we didn't fit their esthetic or because that's just who she is as a person, it's unclear. There's a bar that has decorative items, some included, some not, that help make your succulent yours. Once you're done, someone like Carly will be nice enough to offer to take a family picture of you in front of the store with your cute little plants but before you walk out Blue hair strand lady will embarrassingly yell out after you while she has two clients who happen to be on the lighter side "EXCCCUSSEEE YOUUU DO YOU PLAN ON PAYING FOR THAT?" and I'm assuming she's not use to receiving the same energy she gives out since I responded "excuse you we're going outside with her (Carly) to take a picture" and when we came back in to pay she was sitting at the register talking about how "it prepares you to deal with those types of people". Unfortunately, blue hair strand lady, it's apparent that customer service isn't what you're being prepared for. The concept is cool, the space is clean and Carly was fantastic. read more
