Wonderful gallery of fine art. Knowledgeable and passionate staff. Bought several pieces to bring home. Multiple visits are inevitable.

I happened to spot their sign on the corner as we passed by one day. The gallery has Oils, glass sculptures, jewelry, fine pottery, hand painted wraps and much more. Our travels to Albuquerque, NM always include a stop at Weyrich. Tip: check to see when their next artist opening is so you can meet and see new exhibits - even if you're not in town. I actually bought a piece after seeing it posted on FB during the opening. Weyrich will pack and ship items to you. Once the pandemic is more reduced, we hope to participate in one of their Japanese menu offerings.

There are landscapes that draw you in... and abstract paintings that make you look again and again from across the room (the current show just opened in August 2021). Ceramic plates, hardwood wooden boxes and tiny bowls lead you to imagine a silent meal or a tea ceremony. Everything is modestly-priced. My favorites today? Two woodcut limited-edition prints of New Mexico mountain scenes by the masterful Mary Sweet from her Mt. Taylor series. Her intention is clear: putting us on the trail with a reverence for Nature oft' forgotten in the office.

Zinks Town - Decorating the plant!

So much fun that I just had to take two of my friends back here to celebrate their birthdays. There was no doubt in my mind that this place was the perfect birthday present and time to spend with them. Memories. Pat myself on the back . . . they loved it and I think they will bring other friends back to have this experience also. Zinks Town is an art gallery that also specializes in the experience of creating a lasting magic memory with their "Succulent Bar". Creating the magic: You select a container& then select one or two plants from an extensive variety of succulents. Next step is creating a memory / desire that you place in the bottom of the container, followed by planting your succulent(s); then placing "wish" supporting Ingredients (mine were Lemon Grass, Hibiscus, Roselle, Chrysanthemum, Mallow Flower, and a couple I can't remember how to spell!); then you select magic crystals (mine were Black Lace Agate, Green Aventurine, & Lapis Lazuli); and finally you add decorations. Yep decorations. Important thing is to remember to select a container that will fit all that. I love it when a business creates opportunities to come away with more than satisfying your thirst, fixing your car, supplying you with groceries or cooking your dinner. I love it when you come away with a memory that will be with you longer than next week. A memory that you will share with friends . . . at least until their next birthday.

There is a magic about this place where you makes wishes, pick crystals and flowers to add to the potting mix. How appropriate to have this beautiful young lady like her being our fairy helper. She is Zay and it is Zinkstown. A perfect blend of Z's. What a wonderful way to celebrate Spring, the season that the earth comes back to life after the dormant winter.

I had the chance to visit during a Yelp Elite event, and it was the perfect introduction to a space that's equal parts art gallery, treasure hunt, and conversation starter. Each room has its own personality and theme, but the common thread is creativity--every corner invites you to slow down and take it in. From intricately designed sugar skulls to unexpected finds like that perfect bottle of wine or a gift for the "impossible-to-shop-for" person, the Lapis Room makes browsing feel intentional and fun. It's the kind of place where you walk in thinking you'll just look around--and leave with something you didn't even know you needed. The Yelp Elite event added an extra layer of energy, with people exploring, connecting, and sharing in the discovery of the space. It felt less like a retail stop and more like being let in on a local secret. Whether you're a local or just spending time in Old Town, carve out time for the Lapis Room. It's not just shopping--it's an experience worth having.
