You won't get obnoxious, over-posed pics with Stina; just the real moment, reflected truly and beautifully! A friend of mine told me "a great wedding photographer is one you hardly see, but was obviously there". (And this is no way to say that she was ever hard to find!) She's subtle and intentional and always available. She's also really kind and funny. I honestly wish she lived closer! She seems like a fun person to just hang out with. A real North Country gem! When I decided I wanted to get our photos done professionally I searched all around our area to find the best service and the best price. It took lots of energy to convince my boyfriend to participate and split the cost because to him "anyone can take a photo." I ended up convincing him to go with Ambient because the reviews were so good and Alex had a "mother's day sale" where we would be able to have an hour photo shoot including a package of photos and a copy of purchased photos on a disc for $530 (tax included). For us that is a lot of money and we expected we would get wonderful family photos as well as newborn photos of our baby girl. The photo shoot itself seemed to go well. Alex was friendly and the space was nice. He has a beautiful studio and awesome outdoor venue. However beyond that it was a nightmare. Our photos arrived weeks late and the prints were incorrect. The photos were printed in the wrong sizes, damaged in the mail AND our disc of the purchased photos was missing. I reached out to Alex who responded quickly but without a resolution. Days passed and I reached out again. When I still had yet to receive a response my fiance reached out to Alex and finally we got a response. Alex then provided us with copies of the damaged photos in the correct print, a disc of all the photos from the photo shoot and he upgraded our canvas picture. All of that sounded great EXCEPT when we received the disc of photos NONE of them were photo shopped so my daughters baby acne was in full swing and I have had to search for someone to edit them for me. Alex never photo shopped my hair tie off my wrist (I didn't even realize it was on my wrist until Alex told me halfway through the photo shoot). In all of the photos of my daughter on her own her eye crossed and the angles are strange. I was behind my daughter during the time Alex took those photos so I had no idea that her eye had crossed nor that she was at weird angles. We only got a couple prints in color, the rest were all black and white. My hair tie is in almost every photo. There are only a couple pictures I remotely like at all and none I am in love with. The canvas picture took almost 3 months to arrive and Alex does not develop his own photos. My daughter is absolutely beautiful and Alex didn't capture her beauty for us. He didn't capture anything and he didn't even bother putting his logo on our pictures because I am certain he knows he did shoddy work. It was a good experience gone horribly wrong and I will NEVER pay for pictures professionally again. Waste of $530. It is 6 months later and I am still upset about it. Our pictures were done 5/30/17 and just writing this brings back all my anger and frustration. I wish we had demanded a refund. I have now found someone willing to photo shop the photos and correct my daughters baby acne and remove my hair tie but there is no way to fix her cross eye or the crappy photos he took that day and I am not sure I will ever be able to look at any of the photos without getting upset.

She was proactive, enthusiastic, and immediately impressed upon me a friendly, "I got your back" nature. And she did! I am not local to Burlington and as such she volunteered to scout-out spots in advance and send me recommendations. I was juggling quite a lot in terms of logistics for the plan to come together, and throughout the process Moriah was reliable, helpful, enthusiastic, and flexible. When the day arrived the plan went off flawlessly and Moriah captured it beautifully. She was a pleasure to meet in person and she leveraged her artistic talent, people skills, and area knowledge to capture a set of photos that legitimately took our breath away. She somehow managed to turn a crummy-weather day and two non-photogenic subjects into a memory and a set of images that delight us with every reflection and every look.

When we found Two House Photo we got what we were looking for times two! After seeing their work online we booked an engagement session. Kirstin and Carin had us comfortable and laughing right away. The photos were awesome and got us really excited about the upcoming day. There was no hesitation in booking them for the wedding. The 7 hour package they offer is an incredible value. As a team of two they're able to actually be in two places at once. We have been married a two months and cannot stop looking at the photos over and over. They took the necessary group shots, but it is all the in between moments that make the photos so special. Each emotion of the day is captured beautifully. We got engaged in July after 6 years of dating and knew we wanted to get married fairly quickly with just our closest family there. The most important thing to me (besides marrying my soulmate!) was to have amazing pictures of us that we could look back on and remember our special day forever. However, we both are not crazy about getting our picture taken and wanted someone who was going to make it as comfortable as possible for us. I found Jenna with a simple google search and when I went to her page immediately fell in love with her style and photos. I could tell from her bio and portfolio that she was a super cool person with so much talent. I contacted her and she got back to us right away, scheduling a breakfast meeting to get to know us and talk about our ideas for the ceremony. When we met with her she was just as cool in person, answered all our questions, and even suggested Shelburne Farms for our venue when I explained to her the vibe I wanted. Even in the middle of a very busy wedding season, she was able to give us a date that was just a month away. She stayed in contact with us right up until the day, having us fill out a questionnaire to get to know us better, and scheduled a phone call 2 days before our wedding to lock down the finer details. On the day of our wedding (which was a Monday!) she helped us navigate how to set up a first look and was even flexible with the schedule when an unexpected rain shower started right before we were set to take pictures! My husband and I had a full hour with Jenna to take pictures before our ceremony, where she made us feel immediately comfortable. She made us laugh, gave us the explicit directions we needed on how to pose, and made everything super fun! Our families were also impressed with her during our ceremony and family photos.
