She was present when we needed her and helped to pose us for some photos after the ceremony--and would then faded into the background, capturing our wedding perfectly! You won't get obnoxious, over-posed pics with Stina; just the real moment, reflected truly and beautifully! A friend of mine told me "a great wedding photographer is one you hardly see, but was obviously there". (And this is no way to say that she was ever hard to find!) She's subtle and intentional and always available. She's also really kind and funny. I honestly wish she lived closer! She seems like a fun person to just hang out with. A real North Country gem! We are so pleased to have chosen Stina to photograph our big day, and I'm sure you'd love her too!

We hired Daria for our wedding, and I really cannot say enough good things about her and Andy. They…read moreare fabulous people and amazing photographers. You're not going to get cheesy posed pics of your wedding; you'll get classic timepieces that take you back to the day. And you'll have fun. We really had so much fun with them on our wedding day, and with Daria for our engagement photo session too. Really, when you think about it, you spend more time with your photographer than any other single person (besides your significant other) on your day, so you better like them. She calmed me, made me laugh, and really helped make the day. And it's a big plus to have the two of them- Daria and her equally wonderful fun husband Andy- so you can have double the coverage. And our pictures... I'm still getting comments about how great and unique they are. I LOVE that they do a slideshow of the event- putting the pics to music just really tells the story of the day. The 2 negatives that made me hesitate between 4 and 5 stars are price and timing. The packages are very pricey (more than what the Knot tells you to alot for a photographer budget), and watch out for additional costs which I think are a little unfair to not include within all packages (digital negatives, slideshows- it's best to ask exactly what ISN'T included in your package to have it spelled out). Although, I have to say, they were worth every single last penny. My other negative comment -'timing'-is that they are not always perfectly organized and responsive/quick with turnaround. It's been 6+ months since our wedding and we haven't gotten instructions on our wedding album, despite multiple requests, nor do we have our digital negatives. But overall I feel it's better to wait for awesome pics than to have ones you're not so happy with right away. Overall, really great, fun photographers that will give you the wedding pictures you dream of. and ps- even if you have no intentions of ever getting married, check out Daria's blog on her site. Totally great way to waste time (especially if you love Vermont like I do!!)

Rustic Pines was an absolute dream of a venue, thank you all SO much! From the very beginning of my…read morewedding planning process, Steph and the Rustic Pines team really stood out. When researching and contacting venues, they were not only the only venue to reach back out same day, but also the only one that actually seemed interested in helping me achieve my dream wedding. Steph was available by text or call literally any time of day or night for random wedding questions, planning, or inspiration. She was always open and interested in what I had to suggest and was nothing but positive and encouraging every time. Some of the things that Steph did for us that made this process SO much smoother were cocktail tastings, decor trials, and she even put together all of the reception florals that I bought in bulk! She always had an answer to my questions and if she didn't, she would find out without worry. As for the day of the wedding, Steph and the Rustic Pines team had the ceremony and reception space completely set up and decorated for us without us having to lift a finger. I was welcomed into the bridal suite with a gift, a good playlist, and mimosas ready to drink! Steph was available all morning to grab us anything we needed and even made us coffee. She welcomed and coordinated with our vendors to ensure they were set up in the proper areas and that they were ready to go. The ceremony and reception coordination went very well and was completely handled by the Rustic Pines team. Other things to note: the lawn was IMMACULATE and the entire venue makes for beautiful photos. The gravel driveway was of no concern for our guests and the rustic pines team had a golf cart for any guests who would be in need of assistance getting to the ceremony space. They were extremely accommodating to anything I may have needed and I would choose Rustic Pines over and over again!

The owner mentioned they had limited flowers left, but THIS bouquet was filled with roses, baby's breath, and the most gorgeous group of purple flowers! She went beyond my expectations and purple is my favorite color. They made this piece of floral art within five-ten minutes day of for about $65. Their prices are higher than price chopper and target, but you're paying for a local and unique bundles of bouquets. Only the best for Mom! Right?! Other than flowers, they sell locally made vases, bracelets, earrings. Their shop is lovely filled with cacti, bouquets, and gardening tools too. Definitely worth supporting for future events like weddings, showers and events. You will be amazed!
