We got engaged in July after 6 years of dating and knew we wanted to get married fairly quickly with just our closest family there. The most important thing to me (besides marrying my soulmate!) was to have amazing pictures of us that we could look back on and remember our special day forever. However, we both are not crazy about getting our picture taken and wanted someone who was going to make it as comfortable as possible for us. I found Jenna with a simple google search and when I went to her page immediately fell in love with her style and photos. I could tell from her bio and portfolio that she was a super cool person with so much talent. I contacted her and she got back to us right away, scheduling a breakfast meeting to get to know us and talk about our ideas for the ceremony. When we met with her she was just as cool in person, answered all our questions, and even suggested Shelburne Farms for our venue when I explained to her the vibe I wanted. Even in the middle of a very busy wedding season, she was able to give us a date that was just a month away. She stayed in contact with us right up until the day, having us fill out a questionnaire to get to know us better, and scheduled a phone call 2 days before our wedding to lock down the finer details. On the day of our wedding (which was a Monday!) she helped us navigate how to set up a first look and was even flexible with the schedule when an unexpected rain shower started right before we were set to take pictures! My husband and I had a full hour with Jenna to take pictures before our ceremony, where she made us feel immediately comfortable. She made us laugh, gave us the explicit directions we needed on how to pose, and made everything super fun! Our families were also impressed with her during our ceremony and family photos. She was able to take my vision and make it a reality. Even though we only had two hours for our personal pictures, ceremony, and family pictures, the time with her did not feel rushed or stressful. A friend of mine told me "a great wedding photographer is one you hardly see, but was obviously there". (And this is no way to say that she was ever hard to find!) She's subtle and intentional and always available. She's also really kind and funny. I honestly wish she lived closer! She seems like a fun person to just hang out with. A real North Country gem! You're not going to get cheesy posed pics of your wedding; you'll get classic timepieces that take you back to the day. And you'll have fun. We really had so much fun with them on our wedding day, and with Daria for our engagement photo session too. Really, when you think about it, you spend more time with your photographer than any other single person (besides your significant other) on your day, so you better like them. She calmed me, made me laugh, and really helped make the day. And it's a big plus to have the two of them- Daria and her equally wonderful fun husband Andy- so you can have double the coverage. And our pictures... I'm still getting comments about how great and unique they are. I LOVE that they do a slideshow of the event- putting the pics to music just really tells the story of the day. The 2 negatives that made me hesitate between 4 and 5 stars are price and timing. The packages are very pricey (more than what the Knot tells you to alot for a photographer budget), and watch out for additional costs which I think are a little unfair to not include within all packages (digital negatives, slideshows- it's best to ask exactly what ISN'T included in your package to have it spelled out). Although, I have to say, they were worth every single last penny. My other negative comment -'timing'-is that they are not always perfectly organized and responsive/quick with turnaround. It's been 6+ months since our wedding and we haven't gotten instructions on our wedding album, despite multiple requests, nor do we have our digital negatives. But overall I feel it's better to wait for awesome pics than to have ones you're not so happy with right away. Overall, really great, fun photographers that will give you the wedding pictures you dream of. and ps- even if you have no intentions of ever getting married, check out Daria's blog on her site. Totally great way to waste time (especially if you love Vermont like I do!!)

Stunning bridal suite. Plenty of space. That is why we originally selected it as our wedding venue. What we didn't know at the time is that we were hiring some of the best wedding professionals in the business - the dynamic duo of Steve & Jenn. I am not exaggerating when I say I'd get married pretty much anywhere as long as they were running the show. Let me start with how incredibly responsive they were. As a wedding vendor also, this is something I greatly appreciate. I would ask a question and get a response usually within 10 minutes. Jenn & Steve made everything pretty effortless for us. Steve helped us with bar selections, table lay out and set up specialty cocktails. Jenn coordinated with all of our vendors for arrival times, set up and take down. We were able to drop off all of our decor on a Wednesday and Jenn had it all set up when we came Friday for our rehearsal. What a special treat for our bridal party and close family to be able to preview the venue with the majority of the decor set up. A review of our wedding day: we had downpours in the morning and in to the afternoon. The team at the Barn set up for an indoor ceremony just in case. Our ceremony was at 4:30pm and downpours came again at 4:15. As I (the bride) was coming down the stairs the clouds parted and I gave the nod to have the ceremony outside - probably right at 4:30pm. Jenn had the team dry off chairs outside not once, but twice after 4pm and we were able to have our ceremony outside, just as we had envisioned. I doubt you will find this level of flexibility anywhere else where you can literally make the call at the very last minute - it meant everything to us to be able to get married with the mountains in the background. The rest of the night was absolutely flawless. Steve made sure to bring us cocktails during dinner, Jenn brought us an array of apps so we could enjoy our cocktail hour while photos were being taken. I had no idea what time it was all throughout the night, but Jenn made sure things were executed on time. She clearly is a professional and seems so chill but is also so organized and direct when she needs to be. The Barn is no doubt the best place to get married in Vermont. I wish I could do it all over again - every moment was absolutely magical. Thanks Steve & Jenn for our perfect day - look forward to working with you both as a wedding vendor and getting to visit the place we got married often.

Our guests noted the quality of the bar selections, as well as the delicious catered food provided by Sugarsnap. We all agreed that the meals represented the best food anyone had ever experienced at a wedding. Kristen was a delight to work with as we coordinated our culinary selections for the big day. It's a relatively small aquarium and has small gift shop at the entrance. There are 2 floors consist of small tanks of sea creatures and fishes and science interactive games. It was entertaining but we got through the entire place in 30-45min. Staffs were nice overall and friendly. As an adult we paid 23$ per person and i don't think that it was worth it as i've been to other aquariums that are much larger and offers much more things to see. I can see that it may be good for family and kids but will be a short trip and better to spend more time at the park right outside for walks or shopping at the church street market.
