My experience with John started out wonderfully. He was quick and responsive and to my car at Breez Thru Car Wash within 10 minutes of calling him. He proceed to put these inflatable bags in my window and pumped them up to pop the door out enough to reach the lock (standard). He fumbled with trying to pop the door lock for several minutes "just for fun", he said. It was a "fun challenge" for him to try to open it the more challenging way. However he continued to inflate the bags, rearrange them, and leave them in for longer than necessary because of this. Eventually, he couldn't pop the lock that way, so he went to the "easy" way instead, he says. And proceeds to rearrange the inflatable bags again and much more quickly pops the lock with the button instead.
Problem solved.
I then finished what I was doing and went through the car wash and water started coming in through my door. My door was bent! I drove home, took pictures, sent them to John, and asked if he has any solutions. He came out the next day to try to help me but put up this huge, fake, scammy front about the "rubber sealing" and the "boot" and how his locksmith bags couldn't do this and all this even though the door itself was clearly BENT. I'm the end, he got scammy and manipulative and was flat out lying and denying reality and left by saying "take me to court then, and don't call me again, bye".
I YouTube'd it and found a solution and fixed it myself. I (genuinely) kindly sent him the video and said "FYI, it's a common problem, I fixed it myself, learn to do this for the sake of your future clients". And he was a jerk back, again denying reality.
He got real icky and scammy which was an unfortunate surprise. I was patient and tried to work with him and help but... when people start lying and gaslighting then I get pissed lol. Ugh. Anyways... a bent door from opening a lockout is an easy fix, no matter what John tells you... read more
