This was not a simple procedure. The crown and abutment were extremely difficult to remove, and there was uncertainty about what would be found underneath. Dr. Kakos was willing to take on a challenge that many others would not, working carefully and persistently to help preserve my existing implant rather than moving straight to removal. His kindness, confidence, and willingness to help made an incredibly stressful situation much easier to handle. Frustrated of Unexpected Billing Charges. But each time our family would undergo for a procedure, we get surprised of the bill and always being told it's our previous balance from the last procedure. This facility needs to be transparent to their patient especially on billing charges that was not informed before the procedure. We feel that we are being trapped on the situation. Here is the post "My daughter and I went to Tom Jackson to get some implants, etc. done on her teeth. During our first visit, Tom examined my daughter's mouth and afterwards told us he thought the whole procedure would come in just under $20k. We thought great, seems reasonable and went ahead with the process. My daughter, who lives out of town, flew in for the second visit to start the process. The following day we receive the treatment plan from his assistant. The estimated cost was a little over $34k (70% above estimate). We were flabbergasted. We called Tom and asked him how he could have been off that much on his original quote and he said "I don't do billing". Needless to say we stopped the process and looked elsewhere. We found a very professional outfit, very highly rated and who my daughter was very comfortable with and whose treatment plan estimated the total cost at under $19k for the same procedures (less than Tom's original quote). What a terrible experience. My daughter has gone through the first part of the procedure and everything looks great. One other note - after we called and complained, Tom said he would refund our fees for the second visit (not the first) but we had to sign a nondisclosure agreement (gag order) not to discuss this on social media. The Treatment Plan/Estimate showed many discounts, but I got skeptical about all the "IF"s, contingencies, and additions, even before new implants, so I went to another, , surgeon, who did my bone graft and sinus elevation 2 days later, and his out-of-Network plan/estimate was lower than Dr. Katsnelson's in-Network Estimate/Plan. Also, this office took a $3,000 deposit, which other dentists usually did not do before completing the treatment. I attached my Treatment Plan/estimate from Dr. Katsnelson for your judgement. I also put down a deposit for a procedure . i asked them over the phone how much will the procedure be they told me they didn't have it on file so id have to find out when i came in. i go in and the procedure is out of my budget, so they told me since im not getting the procedure that same day that my 150$ deposit will go to 50$ and i have to pay another 150 to secure my spot again plus the remaining balance!!! i asked them could i do payments on it they said no. unbelievable. never going back here again.
