The restaurant was really crowded for dinner on a friday, but don't let that fool you, the food is average. Service is friendly and you are greeted with a shot of ouzo. Also, they have a nice patio in the back.
First we were served salads which they should not bother making. Iceberg lettuce, a limp cucumber slice, one olive and a small amount of some bland, unidentifiable dressing. There also seemed to be a bed of cabbage on the bottom. We ordered the Saganaki to start, a breaded sheepcheese slab. It clearly had come from the freezer and wasn't served with any sort of sauce so it was pretty salty. We ate it but it wasn't especially good. Then we split a meat platter. For around 30 euros you get a ton of food. Pork on a skewer that was flavorful if a little dry. Gyro meat which I found to be too dry to eat and laced with large pieces of fat. Tiny little lamb chops that were well cooked but bland, and what I think was a pieces of beef which was very tender.
We were both also served large sides of potatoes. Boiled potato with garlic and some thick chips that reminded me of the cafeteria cottage fries of my youth. Unfortunately they were covered in a surprisingly bland garlic oil that made most of them soggy.
The have a large selection of beverages including cocktails.
Long story short, this place isn't terrible, it's just not good enough to drop 50 euros on dinner for two. read more
