I have mixed feelings about Coast Dental. After her review I was told I had cavities that needed to be filled and I was in need of a deep cleaning which they would have to schedule in the future. I was not surprised by either, as I had not had a cleaning in probably 3 years, which is my fault! However, I did go in with the impression I would have a cleaning that day, and was disappointed I was there almost 2 hours for pretty much nothing. I returned a few weeks later and had my deep cleaning done with Christina, the hygienist. She took me back right away and started the cleaning...no waiting around this time. She was friendly and did a fabulous job. My teeth and gums felt great after that! A few weeks later I returned and had my cavities filled. Again I was taken right back, numbed and the procedure started probably 15 minutes later. This process went smoothly as well and I have no complaints, I can't remember the dentists name but she was very friendly. I've been back one more time since for a regular cleaning with Christina and again, great experience! SO while I was a little turned off by my initial visit, all the rest of my interactions at this office have been positive!

WORST DENTIST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. The operating rooms are absolutely filthy, dusty chairs, grime…read morein the seams of their equipment. Nothing was clean. The OPERATING CHAIR HAS A MASSIVE HOLE in the cushion right where you sit so there's no way they're properly disinfecting it. Absolutely disgusting place and it should be shut down. Complete waste of time. I arrived at 3:15 for my 3:30 appointment, then waited an hour and half to be seen. Finally after being brought back at 4:45 I'm essentially told they're not going to really do anything for me today, mind you I have a broken tooth, because it's so late. I was like excuse you? I was here 15 minutes early for my appointment. So she takes the X-rays, refuses to take all the x rays, my insurance only covers x rays so often and I need work done. I needed more x rays. She tried to argue with me that my tooth missing a piece is not broken when I know it's broken. Then I'm finally brought to an operating room to see the real dentist, about 5pm now and I'm waiting again and the same nurse comes up trying to take payment for the x rays before I've even seen the dentist! Wants me to pay her a $7 co pay while I'm in the chair with the bib on! So I say ma'am do you realize you have me sitting in a chair with a hole in it two hours into an appointment and I still haven't seen the dentist and you're asking me for payment? In the chair? So I said enough is enough I'm done and I'm leaving right now.

The location was easy to access and had ample parking, and the lobby had plenty of seating. However, there was no receptionist and no bell or alert system, so I stood at the front desk until almost 8:15 before I heard someone and called out for them. My only negative experience though! They currently offer a free X-ray and exam for new patients, and while I got the rough news about needing 4 fillings (quoted about $320ish per filling) and saw the X-rays showing my wisdom teeth needing to come out, the staff was still great providing clear information and ensuring my comfort the whole time. Now admittedly, I'm not sure if I'll be back but that's just because of an insurance confusion. Delta Dental lists this location and it's practicing dentists as covered by their insurance plans, but when this location entered my insurance info they came up as out of network. So now I'm waiting to hear about the preliminary cost determination from my insurance company, but the staff here were great about explaining how that portion would all be handled too!

I began my journey to restore my dental health, years after receiving substandard care. I learned…read moreproper dental hygiene in my late teenage years and sought dental care routinely ever since. I mistakenly thought dentists I visited took care of my dental needs. I found Dr.'s Strupp/Brumm through a relative. I finally found an honest assessment and evaluation of all which was needed. The team put together with Strupp/Brumm Cosmetic Dentistry includes referrals to highly competent specialists. One of these specialists discovered a cotton ball under an amalgam filling which was placed fifty years before and the tip of an explorer broken off in the canal of another endodontically treated tooth from eleven years ago (all the dentists between then and now missed these problems). This dental history shows the high-level care I experienced before arriving in this team's hands. Several all-day sessions spread over several months and my full mouth reconstruction is complete. Dr. Brumm and his chairside assistants are unmatched in their diligence, attention to detail, and skill. Behind the scenes were the lab personnel who managed to construct near perfect teeth which are indistinguishable from natural teeth in shape, color, spacing, and bite. They even accommodated for several teeth which were not aligned (straight) giving me the best bite possible. The color matches my complexion, completely unlike many smiles (blindingly white) seen in commercials on television. You know, the ones you have to wear sunglasses to look at If you are looking for the best quality for your dental needs, this is where you should visit. Although I travel over 1200 miles round trip, the results are well worth the time and the effort of this team. Steve Colafrancesco

Both my wife and I who are in our 60's wanted to have better looking (and functioning) teeth. My wife's 4 front teeth had heavy bonding for the last 40 years. Her bite was off from braces acquired 40 years ago; tooth color had also changed. My teeth were functional, but all different colors and sizes and pointing in different directions. We did not know where to go. We had consultations with several well known cosmetic dentists in California and NYC. What was recommended varied widely from braces to veneers to do nothing at all. We checked out the Strupp/Brumm website and the photo gallery was exactly what we were looking for: a beautiful and natural look. So we scheduled consultations for both of us. The Strupp/Brumm consultations were fairly extensive, lasting several hours. It was clear to Dr. Brumm that both of us would benefit from full dental reconstructions. My wife was skeptical. But I jumped in and made the appointments for myself. After the first treatment, my wife joined me. Dina was our coordinator and she did a fabulous job including scheduling, answering our many questions, and dental assisting. She is very professional with great personality. It was a joy to have her working on our case. Drs. Strupp and Brumm are not just great dentists, they are also very personable. The staff are professional and nice, making the long hours of dental work very pleasant. The beautiful spacious office and nearby Clearwater Beach are also pluses. Because of our extensive dental work we were very anxious but the staff and the Drs. make the visits very comfortable. They even served us lunch in the office! Last but not least we would like to mention Jim Free, the in-house ceramist at the office. He is an artist. He crafted our teeth in the in-house lab. He listened to us and worked with us throughout the whole process. At the last fitting, he made alterations on the spot to accommodate our final requests. According to Dr. Strupp, Jim was ranked 2nd in the International Championship Competition of ceramist technicians. To us he is #1. The final product was sets of teeth we could only dream of. The 1st photo is my wife's "before". The second photo is also before, enlargement of the 4 front teeth. 3rd is the final result. 4th and 5th are me, before and after. Final photo is wife's temporary uppers. Even the temporaries looked good and felt comfortable!
