I am floored by the low rating of this spot because it was an absolute gem! With all the bread in Italy we consumed, we were craving something a little lighter so we went searching for a seafood spot end and this was where we landed. This place is very kitschy and fun with bistro lights and an open air roof. We were the first guests as we arrived when they first opened since we didn't have reservations. We were seated at a table closest to the brick oven stove and Our lovely waitress immediately came over to help us order food and drinks. We spoke little-to-no Italian and the same for her as far as English is concerned, but we made it work. I ended up ordering a blueberry bramble which was incredible! Bursting with flavor and the cream of blackberry was super pleasant.
Now let's talk food! We started off with the trio of tartares-salmon, tuna and Seabass. My favorite hands-down was the tuna topped with crushed pistachio and orange peel. Absolutely mind blowing-ly delicious. Second course was the shrimp risotto which they kindly divided into two servings. Absolutely the best risotto I have ever EVER had. The final dish was the grilled octopus with potato purée, it was so good I wanted to lick the bowl clean. Oh, let's not forget the focaccia which was baked right from the oven we were sitting next to and appeared it was the crust used for their delicious pizzas as well.
What I love about dining in Europe is how you are allowed to really and truly enjoy your meal and take your time to graze, chat, and enjoy every single bite. We enjoyed our meal so much at this place, we returned the very next night for dinner again.
