Over the years I have traveled from Kennebunk Maine to Newburyport in search of something special for my home and they never disappoint. The owner Carrie has unbelievable Good taste when it comes to buying for her shop. She has been extremely helpful and has given so much of her valuable time to assist me. Every time I go there I find the decor refreshed with something new to feast your eyes on. I have purchased a carpet, sofa, a chair, Moroccan end tables (which she had custom made for me) ,Lighting and lots of decorative items. I have also found the staff knowledgable and helpful. Their upholstery is 8-way hand-tied springs! and kiln dried hardwood frames, which are hard to find at their price point today. Quality, quality, quality! I sing Red Bird's praises to everyone and I highly recommend their other shops (Wish Basket and Nola).

Although I hadn't planned going into this store since not looking for any furniture what caught my…read moreeye was the racks of greeting cards. I really like being able to find cards that are unique & somewhat local instead of CVS, target type places. I spent more time in this store than I should've but bought several birthday cards that were pretty neat. Many of them were either made from recycled materials or had soy free ink, not the usual Hallmark crap. The store is a decent size & they have other random household items that they sell here. Yeah come in & take a gander, you never know what might find.

Spring 2011 was my first spring in my new house. At this time, I was merely an aspiring gardener…read morewith a gardening book and a dream of a lush backyard, waiting for the ground to thaw so I could plant. By mid-May, I had visted all of my local nurseries, but Corliss quickly stood out as having a remarkable plant selection and knowledgeable staff. I returned to Corliss several times over to purchase various shrubs and perennials and had a good experience each time. Not only did they give me advice as to how to design my garden beds, but when I noticed skeletonization of the leaves of my rose bush one day, they immediately recognized it was caused by a slug and recommended an effective product. Thanks to Corliss my rose was completely cured within a few weeks and is now thriving. Then, a recent customer service experience won me over completely... I'd purchased an evergreen shrub from Corliss earlier this spring and, to my dismay, noticed it was shedding its leaves. I wrote them an email, describing the problem, and they responded immediately asking for more details to help them diagnose the issue. We emailed back and forth all weekend, and they were able to diagnose the problem and tell me what to do to help solve it. Then they went well above and beyond and came to my house to take a look in order to be certain of the problem, and followed up with me via phone, guiding me as to how to save the shrub. I am so impressed and appreciative of this high level of customer service. They are truly professionals in terms of their knowledge, as well as their customer care. Thank you Corliss!
