The search to find equivalent care has yielded average but not wonderful results. There are definitely different levels for chiropractic care. Dr Ayesha offered dry needling as part of my treatment and adjusted the old fashioned way, where you hear the adjustment and feel things move to a more relaxed position. Online forms are not excessive, reception is friendly and efficient to book, greet and process insurance. The service is timely and parking is convenient. Logan Gerwing ruined my life! The day I stepped in into Peak Health &Performance Logan Gerwing's…read moreoffice will always be marked as a 'black' day in my family's calendar. The lacrosse ball exercise he gave me for my back that I followed to a tee, caused me devastating harm and injuries. Since that day, 15 months ago, my back is in excruciating pain and can't heal. Also, after that exercise, I have difficulty standing and sitting. There is no more such a thing as a good night sleep in my vocabulary because laying down hurts - hurts a lot. I feel like I am half-human now. I have been seeing many Alberta Health practitioners since and no one can understand what is happening and how to help me recover. The one message that I received from Alberta Health rehabilitation professionals is clear - first of all, I should've never been given such an exercise considering my condition and secondly, if given such an exercise, it should be started in standing by the wall position and just for some 20 seconds. Pain clinic's Kinesiologist couldn't believe what happened. He said that everything over a minute of lacrosse ball is for professional athletes, who compete, in the best shape of heir lives and with years of practice. Another spine doctor, with 44 years of experience, said that considering my condition, this would be 'the worst idea he can imagine to be suggested.' When I came back to Peak Health & Performance to address this with Logan Gerwing, while I was waiting in a hallway, he passed me multiple times as I don't exist and am a piece of furniture. It looked that he knew, from my message left for him with a front desk, that he caused me harm and tried to completely ignore my presence while I was waiting, until I just had no choice as to step in front of him to make my appearance as obvious as it couldn't as it can be. Team leader, Evan Durnin was present that day also, and didn't make any effort to step in. I was shocked! During my long career in management, as soon as there was a customer service concern, I would always jump in to help assist my staff member and make sure that I have the issue resolved. The worst part is that I already was legs-down paralyzed once in my lifetime and fought back to a complete recovery. Since then, I valued my health so much that I had no bad habits and no contact sports, and my family and my community is shocked that my life was ruined by medical professional! My father requires a heart surgery and my mother-in-law needs treatment for her not to lose her legs. I was up for a promotion after working hard for last 16 years and, now instead of having a chance to save my relatives lives, being able to support their treatments, I am off-work, at my worst health and financial situation ever, after stepping into Logan Gerwing's office. It looks that the only help I can get now is from a place like a Mayo clinic that I can't afford and will have to launch a GodFundMe campaign to support my trip. In this case I will have to let millions of my social media viewers aware of my situation and this experience. My family and community is shocked from seeing how harmful chiropractic can be and how one visit can ruin lives of the whole family! I am contacting World Federation of Chiropractic Secretariat to have this situation addressed and hopefully they can guide me to a recovery (if its possible).

I haven't been through a severe accident or sports injury myself so can't speak to that, but have dealt with chronic pain in my lower back, shoulders and neck throughout most of my adult life. I've also developed a knee issue over the last couple years. Evan's chiropractic work, ART, and acupuncture have worked magic that I didn't see with the other couple of chiros I've seen. This practice has a great philosophy with longer and fewer appointments that are followed prescribed exercise and stretching regimens by email. They don't try and hook you into as many appointments as possible like some practices do. They want to make you better, not make you spend stupid amounts of money. The RMTs similarly take a holistic approach and are happy to provide advice on stretches and exercises. They listen to your needs and are equipped with different methods of treatment if you so desire. For example, cupping. Very easy administrative processes and you can book online, in person or by phone. Since I'm with Green Shield, I don't even have to make a payment since its all done automatically and the receipt is emailed. No fuss is much appreciated! Friendly and knowledgeable staff! If youre looking for a new chiro or some good massage, check them out!

I've been visiting Cummings Chiropractic Family Wellness for around 6 months now and consider Dr…read more Cummings my primary Chiropractor. I'm big on health and making decisions that will have a positive impact on my long-term health, which is why about 6 months ago I made the decision to start seeing a Chiropractor on the regular. Doesn't hurt that insurance covers the bulk of it either :). In looking for a Chiropractor I wanted someone well qualified with reviews to back it. Secondly I wanted someone located within reasonable driving distance and affordable for regular appointments. Cummings Chiropractic Family Wellness met all these requirements. I don't pay too much attention to testimonials on business websites as these are easy to make bias, but in doing a public search I found Dr. Cummings has a very strong track record. He has a flawless record on RateMDs, great reviews on Google+ and even a surprisingly strong social media presence (great to see for a medical professional). His actual practice is conveniently located on Elbow drive right in Kingsland Plaza, easy to get to and this Plaza never get's too busy. There's 3 dedicated parking stalls and street parking nearby, I've never had issue getting parking. His prices are very affordable and fair compared to some other options I looked at, I'm not going to quote them here in case they change, but check the fee schedule on their website. Everything considered, they passed my initial search criteria with ease. Upon actually doing my consultation and subsequent visits there was nothing I encountered that would deter me from continued visits. Front desk is polite, efficient and professional. They always work with my schedule and have direct submission for my insurance provider making coming in and out a breeze! As for the Chiropractor, Dr. Grant Cummings is a great guy, always happy, polite, conversational and most importantly professional. He has the professional and educational credentials you would want from a medical professional and is very comfortable/confident in fielding any questions I have. I can honestly say I feel looser and more agile since I started visiting, and the frequency of my "episodes" have decreased as well. Things are especially good when I actually follow the suggested home care methods he provided as well, although I need to work on keeping up on these :). The practice/facility itself is well kept and maintained, very clean and tidy. They were established in 2003 and have a strong working history. As this is the first Chiropractor I've been to I can't comment on techniques and equipment used, but everything seems to be up to date and in-line with what I'd imagine a professional practice should look like. His website can probably speak to this more than me, this is definitely worth looking at, very detailed and well kept website! Their hours are well balanced and go back and forth between an early morning day to a later evening day, great for squeezing in an appointment before/after work! They do Saturday morning-afternoon as well and it even looks like they have some after hours care and mobile options. All things considered, I would definitely recommend visiting Cummings Chiropractic Family Wellness!
