First time here at Zenleaf in Prospect Heights! I had such a great experience at Zenleaf because of Dylan! He was so personable, helpful, and friendly. Even though I pre-ordered he really informed me on other products and what their benefits are. He was absolutely awesome. They have tons of products here from edibles to vapes to flower, etc. I just chose this dispensary on a whim since I was nearby but I'm super glad I did. Short review: Bad location, poorly managed, good staff To start, you get through security and you can immediately tell this place used to be a bank. It's a big empty lobby with a counter at one end. When it's busy, you will be nearly elbow to elbow with other customers at the counter. Music is playing, people are talking, and the acoustics in this place are brutal. If you have any problems with your hearing, definitely avoid this place or come at off hours. You will wait in line, there are 3 lines and the priorities of who gets served first are not entirely clear (with the exception of cabbage club members, but we'll get to that). I think people with online orders are supposed to be served first. If you do not have an online order and it's busy, you may wait for some time while other customers are called up ahead of you. The service is generally pretty good. There are a few really friendly employees who are super helpful (Raul, Kedzie, Nicole to name a few). All the budtenders I've spoken with seem knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions or give recommendations on the products. Anytime I've left here in a good mood, it's because of the awesome people who work there. Last month I decided to finally sign up for their 'Cabbage Club' paid membership because of the monthly store credits and special sales exclusive to Cabbage Club members. After I had signed up and asked the staff what deals they were currently running for club members, nobody had a clue. I couldn't check it on the store website and there were no promos in store. They told me I just had to keep checking my email. Not very helpful on the day I sign up but OK. The other day I noticed there was a glitch in the club system and it looked like I had thousands of dollars in store credit. Obviously this is not the case, but I wanted to stop by and use the actual store credits I get every month as part of my paid membership. They could see I had $70 on my account and I picked out a few products, but when it came time to apply the credits they weren't able. A manager came over, checked the computer and told me that my credits are basically frozen and unusable until they can figure out this glitch on their end. So because of their mistake, I cannot use the membership benefits which I am paying for. That does not leave a good taste in my mouth. The kicker was when I tried to call the special, exclusive customer service helpline that they have only for paying Cabbage Club members! I dialed in and hit '1' as directed by the prompt to indicate I am a current member calling for assistance... and was promptly hung up on before my call was even transferred. Called back 5 minutes later, same result. That's the Zenleaf experience in a nutshell. So, I don't like this location. I am really unhappy with their premium Cabbage Club program that I'm paying for but can't use. The people are cool and I wish them the best. Luckily, there's a new dispensary opening down the street shortly, and it will be a breeze to take my business elsewhere. Would recommend you do the same. read more

One of the first Zen leaf locations in the state. When the pandemic started, business was conducted online with pickups in their lot. For some months now they have been open to the public. Of the dispensaries I have been to so far in our state, this is one of my favorite locations. Each customer is addressed by a budtender. The shop is welcoming, modern looking and customers can feel at ease when browsing products and deciding on their purchases. Menu's can be seen on your phone or Internet prior to visiting the location OR you may surf their menus on iPads made available at the budtender station. One of my last visits I was attended by "Iggy." Nice guy, we had a fun conversation about strains and he upped my spend by showing me some of their available specials. I was able to make use of an often special they offer, two eights for $100 plus tax. If you consume, you may be aware of how unbelievably costly cannabis has become in IL. The average 3.5 g selling for over $80 with applicable taxes for recreational. (Prior to the pandemic, the same volume was only $30) To have a deal offering two different strains in that volume for a "Benji" is a sweet deal if you can choose a likable strain. Beyond cannabis products they also offer accessories, vaporizers and tools used to imbibe. Accessories like chillums, bongs, one hitters, lighters, humidity packs and cones like King Palm. On one occasion I decided to pickup some one hitters and a tiny bong. Price-wise, not a bad spend. Quality wise, I would/ could have been better off buying at a glass shop. It's for the sake of convenience and to be able to one-stop shop is always an opportunity. Because of my good experiences at Zen leaf locations, this is a dispensary group I often recommend to fellow fans of the "flower." read more

They are crooks! They consistently list items on their website with the wrong price. When you go to them, sure they'll respond and give you a coupon for your next visit but if you dare contact them a second time, they will not contact you back. I have tried more than three times as they incorrectly had a 1g RSO for $55+, but when I actually received it, it was .5 mg. So I paid this exorbitant cost for an item that wasn't as described. I even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they refused to contact them back as well! This is not the first occurrence, though, there are numerous complaints on the BBB website, indicating such. I'll never go here again. The dispensary in rolling Meadows or Schaumburg on Plum Grove Road are 10 times better than this dispensary. They lost my business and my friends and families as well. read more

Two previous times before that when I ordered vapes they stopped working after a day( I never said anything about the vapes ) When I went back into the store with my purchase the girl in the front started freaking out and told me i wasn't allowed to bring it back into the store. She told me to take a picture and then come back in . when i walked up to the counter they offer me a different product that I didn't want. This is a terrific place. I started going here because it's on my way home from my workplace.
