My 90-minute body massage and cupping therapy at San Diego's Sanctuary of Art and Healing with Dr. Jordan Delagrange reflected that traditional, therapeutic approach rather than a decorative or spa-oriented one. The techniques were applied in a targeted and methodical way, consistent with their original clinical purpose. This experience differs significantly from a typical massage or spa service. The focus is not on relaxation or pampering, but on addressing muscular tension, circulation issues, and areas of stagnation. While most of the session was painless, certain areas were intense where tension was present, which felt appropriate given the treatment goals. This is structured, results-driven bodywork rooted in traditional healing practices. Highly recommended for those seeking therapeutic massage, cupping therapy, or gua sha in San Diego rather than a standard spa experience.

He has his Doctorate in Eastern medicine and I swear does some magic." Can confirm after purchasing a package with Dr. Jordan that he does in fact do some magic. He expertly massages the body (as well as the mind) in exactly the way it needs. I've since moved up to North County but I still find myself making my way down for appointments and it's 100% worth the trek!

I really don't like gyms, and I had fallen so out of working out and had hit a wall with trying to get back into getting in shape. I felt like the wall was just too high to surmount as I had been out of shape for so long. Linda not only helped me get back into the rhythm of working out, she brought me to feel joy about my body again. She is so talented - I have never met someone with such expertise in personal training. She knows the body so well - during pilates sessions, she would have me move my toe a 1/2 inch or make a slight adjustment that had such a huge impact - she can look at you and know exactly where your out of alignment and what you need to adjust to correct it. She knows how to motivate, how to care, how to shift when you need stretching instead of strengthening - all with grace and strength - a great motivator. She is a master at breath work - truly transformational experience. I just can't recommend Linda enough - really don't miss out - your spirt and body will thank you!

Some of my favorite yoga teachers in San Diego gift their voice within, and offer YTT programs to grow the next generation of spirit builders. Returning after a break during the onset of Covid has rekindled much yogic joy in my mind & body. Spirit has adapted well to the needs of the community with safety measures that still allow for a healthy & enjoyable practice. Lately I've been relishing the 330pm Tuesday/Thursday classes with Sarah Mondet. A $5 community class, the 330pm timeslots are often given to newly minted yoga teachers honing their flows, pace, and playlists. Sarah's class has been an absolute joy, due to both her burgeoning powers as a teacher and also an inner light that cannot help but shine through to studio's practitioners. She's a fantastic testament to the Spirit YTT program and I look forward to every class (especially as a break while remote working!). I can't wait for more of her flows and to revisit some of San Diego's best teachers at the studio in the weeks ahead. Go grab a mat and make your way to Spirit!

Don't forget your yoga mat, but in case you do, they have some you can borrow that get sanitized between uses. Careful what you bring into the actual yoga studio if you don't want the puppies chewing it. They chewed my slides and my water bottle, but it didn't bother me. If you have stuff, there are some little cubby spaces available. It wasn't super hard to find parking; it took us maybe 5 minutes to park (street parking) and then we walked about 2 blocks. The class was totally worth it and you get the opportunity to adopt puppies if you like!
