They've supported him through puppyhood, adolescence, two knee surgeries and recovery, and now adulthood, always adjusting his walkers, sitters, dog pairings and activities based on what's best for him at that stage. They were especially incredible during his surgeries and recovery, helping us think through safe care options, checking in on him, and always prioritizing what was best for Wiley rather than just what services they could provide. They have made introductions, recommended trainers and other trusted professionals, and even offered to reinforce whatever training routines we were working on so that everyone in our dog's life could be consistent. Wiley absolutely adores these people, and that tells us plenty.

They sent Sonia who was truly amazing at making sure the dogs were included, but also making sure they were well taken care of and not getting overwhelmed. It was really special having our best friends at the wedding, and Sonia made sure that we did not have to worry about them at all so we could just enjoy the weekend. It's not easy to wrangle 170 pounds combined especially when there's a lot of human food around on tables, dropped morsels on the ground, kids running around, and a ton of special people the dogs get excited to see; but Sonia's calm, cool, collected nature transferred to the pups and they were relaxed and well taken care of and had a great time. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and loving with our pups, and it was so obvious how comfortable and happy they were with him. In fact, I think it's safe to say they are now completely obsessed with Rhett. It means so much to us to know they were not just being well cared for, but were getting so much genuine affection and attention while we were gone. Being away from the pups can always make us a little anxious, and Rhett's updates continually reassured us that they were happy, comfortable and in great hands. We were able to actually relax and enjoy our time away because of him. We're grateful to Dog Gone Fitness for continuing their excellent service, and Rhett for being the best friend to Bart & Muffin.

The street-side windows were open halfway and the car was parked in a somewhat shaded spot, but the temperatures are going up quickly and this was a potentially dangerous situation on many levels. In addition to the heat, the dog could've easily been stolen. It was super-friendly when I checked up on it. When the owner finally returned to her car our exchange went like this: Me: I walked my dogs past here 45 minutes ago and that dog was in there. That's a long time for a dog to be left alone in a car." Owner:"So?" Me: "You leave a dog in a car for over 45 minutes and that's all you can say?" Owner: "He's fine!" Me: "Yes, I can see that." Owner: "He's my dog." Me: "He's a beautiful dog and he shouldn't be left in the car that long. And when it's your business to take care of dogs, this looks really bad." And I want to also note that after the above conversation, the owner drove off. No explanation, no story of extenuating circumstances, nothing.
