Walt is a great guy and I haven't seen him for many years as I used to stop here often. Anyhow, my son's sister asked for a cone and wanted Vanilla, but she got a chocolate one just like my son did, I think she was confused when Walt asked if she wanted the same thinking he meant the cone, and she said yes but she was afraid to speak up. Anyways finding out she can't have chocolate ice cream after it was melting I asked if he was able to get her vanilla and has a chocolate allergy. He took the cone to the sink, emptied the ice cream out and rinsed the cone with water. Instead of just getting a new cone. When he gave it to us he said you may want to eat it it's getting soggy. She started to eat that cone and found a few small black hairs. She didn't mention that to me until after we left. I think it was also because she had a Spider-Man shirt on and he said here ya go buddy thinking she was a boy. Then instead of asking if I wanted something he put the scooper in the sink. Exceeding speed limit in residential neighborhoods, no turn signals, generally driving like I'd find a 13 year old behind the wheel (but frankly a 13 year old would probably aim to do better.) My 1st encounter with this truck was at a 4-way stop. I had to honk at this driver for failing to stop at Greenhill & Royal ave after I was already turning as I had indicated and was MY right of way- this is a very well marked area and there were a handful of other cars. To boot, the ice cream is very expensive for soft serve that comes in a package and gets put into a machine. Try your luck with the McDonald's ice cream makers and don't bother with an ice cream vendor that honestly couldn't care less if they got in a head on collision with you.

The gentleman working the counter greeted me immediately and grabbed the donuts for me. He was very sweet and diligent. I got two glazed, two Bavarian crème, two chocolate glazed, two sugar cakes, a cinnamon sugar cake, a powdered sugar cake, a cinnamon twist, and a chocolate bar. We've only had a couple so far and they've been delicious. The cake donuts are amazing - great flavor, perfectly balanced, fluffy texture. Not oily at all like store-bought cake donuts tend to be. The non-cake donuts are amazing too. We haven't had a single bite that wasn't delicious. I paid $21.25 for a dozen donuts. They only take cash so make sure you have some with you when you go. The prices vary depending on what you get. It may seem pricey but it's definitely worth it to support a local business run by sweet people who make delicious treats. I will definitely be back!
