We bought some veggies that were there like guava and nopales. And then while we were there we took advantage of the restaurant. My bud got some menudo which did not excite him. And I got 3 barbacoa tacos! They were pretty packed with meat and the green salsa was real good. My bud said he would rate the place a 1 but my experience would rate the place a 5. So I went in between ish with a 4. Servers were real friendly and accommodating. And pricing was normal rates. They got small parking in front as well.

When I tell you the plate runneth over BABY, it runneth over. The flavor was pretty good, obviously not as good as home cooking but for $8?! Highly recommend the red salsa, it had some spice I'll tell you that. It definitely made my nose a lil bit runny haha. The only downside is that the number of English speakers is very low, so try your best to learn a little bit to get by. We were fortunate that some people were there who were bilingual. Overall, we would come back to this place for some cheap and FILLING food :)

We got to witness the workers in the back bring in fresh Red Snappers directly from the boat into the store. It feels good knowing we are buying and supporting local. I'm already planning to become a regular despite the 90 minute drive. I bought three types of fish, two of each: Red Snapper, Striped Bass, and Flounder. I requested that they filet the Red Snappers, while the other four were left to be just cleaned (scaled, cut, and rinsed). It was well packaged. They even put ice in the bag for my long trip back. Excellent, excellent, excellent service. Next time a long with fresh fish, I will get blue crab and shrimp. Note: They are right around the corner from Katie's Seafood House.

It's well organized with a a variety of dedicated staff and vendors. It's a true community experience. The location is spacious and accessible, and the food that I have bought from there is always really good. I have bought baked goods like cookies, breads, bagels, Indian food, and dog treats for my dogs. I've also bought fresh vegetables and handmade soaps. Today I was there on a rainy day, and the vendors were still there and ready for their customers. I was also impressed by the community support because people were still shopping in the rain, with and without umbrellas and raincoats.

I bought some fresh kombucha from 3rd Coast and fresh homemade tamales from, momma's tamales in Houston. It started raining and lightning around 1045a; I needed to leave at 11am so it all worked out.
