The scarers will touch you and your children. The attraction did NOT notify guests of the touching. Nowhere at the attraction, on its Facebook page, in its waiver, etc is there an explicit notification of touching. Once again, the scarers will touch you and your children. There is no system in place protecting your children or other guests. If anyone, including children, were touched inappropriately, the attraction lacks protective policies for such a situation. Also, there was a portion of the haunt where you must crawl to get through. Thankfully, one actor was able to accommodate a friend's handicap. However, once again, there was no notification of this requirement.

The setting is convenient as its just down from a hotel. Ambiance is nice. Both times, the bartenders have been nice and accommodating. One of the nice features of this bar is that though it's long and narrow, they've put a good amount of seating in and there's some nice entertainment. For all of this, the bar would really be at a 4 or more rating. However, it is a local bar and the locals really seem to be set in their ways and are not welcoming. During our most recent visit, there were folks playing pool who I noticed looked irritated we were there to being with. Come to find out, they were playing in their pool league, and apparently for the pool league, nobody else in the bar can have fun. My daughter and her friend set up and played beanbags for a bit, as the bartender allowed because it's there, and gave us a bucket of beanbags from behind the bar. Well, apparently, that's too distracting for the pool league. So, one of the players tattled on my daughter and got the bartender to tell her to move to the front of the bar. Whatever. She and her friend just stopped playing. To give the pool players credit, they tried to be nice and thank my daughter for stopping, but seriously? In the end, its a shame that the bartender caved and that the locals participating in the library pool league ruined a nice fun night for others. By all means, have the league, but then maybe set up some signs, barriers, wear earplugs, or something. It's not like the beanbags hitting the boards were louder than the music being played, but it is what it is, right? Sorry to sound whinny about it all, but seriously, it's a bar, it's a place for enjoyment. We would likely give the place a shot again, but probably not Thursday night during pool league.

Parking is reasonably priced, however, if you rather not pay for parking at all, I'd suggest parking in a free lot downtown and using the skywalk to get to symphony hall, or the DECC in general. I enjoy that most, the skywalk leading here, since it protects from the outside weather nicely. Being where our company holds its shows throughout the year, including Nutcracker, I can say that I am pleased with this venue. Note: the backstage area has several dressing rooms and is quite spacious, for the performers.

We were right up front, so I can't say how the sound carried throughout the large auditorium, but from our seats, the acoustics were great -- sound was balanced, no feedback, really able to hear everything really clearly. The venue was able to handle the number of people, and all signage and directions were clear to help guide fans to the right part of the building. It was clear that they were able to handle a sell-out event with no trouble. And the beverages were reasonably priced, as was the parking -- something that always is a pleasant surprise, especially when you grew up in a city where parking always costs $10 and up no matter where you are going! In all, kudos to the staff and would definitely see another show at the DECC.

We had visited the Depot in Duluth and seen the North Shore Scenic Railroad departure point, so we were looking forward to visit the Two Harbors Depot Museum, where the NSSR train stops for its northernmost point. The depot is located in the 1907 headquarters of the Duluth and Iron Range Railway Company. It's been charmingly restored, with ticket booths and telephone operator stations still intact. There are several different areas of displays, covering everything from military service to local culture at the turn of the last century. The museum has a gift shop and bathrooms available. Be aware of the timing of your visit; if you arrive at the same time the NSSR train does, there will be many passengers lining up to use those bathrooms, as the train is historic and does not have lavatory facilities. We were able to see the train pull into the station and, after its rest stop, hear that most lovely sound--a train whistle signaling "All Aboard!" The Depot Museum is definitely worth a stop for all visitors to Two Harbors!
