This place looks like nothing special.... and the items listed on the online menu are not all there in reality. But, the things we ordered were pretty good.... and the service was friendly and efficient. Four of us ordered two dinner salads. They were a fresh and flavorful mixture of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, shredded carrots, and olives.
For dinner we had half portions of the barbecue chicken (for two of us) and half portions of the barbecue salmon (for two of us). I had the salmon, and it was just so-so. A huge slice of salmon (not a filet) was cooked over charcoal. It was served with (very bland!!!!) boiled cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. The chicken was served with both french fries and rice, a bit of salad, and some pickled cauliflower.
The best part of the meal was the Vinho Verde (the house brand). It was super tasty, crisp and bubbly.... and it complimented both entrees well.... and was yummy enough on its own. It's a funny vacation when night after night the wine is better than the food. read more
