Never thought we'd be the type to drive nearly 300 miles for a vehicle , but alas, here we are. Hubby wanted to replace his totaled Ford Explorer with another exactly like it. He searched high and low and found a vehicle at Zeck. He secured the down payment electronically and we drove up on a weekend to retrieve the vehicle. Love the Zeck logo that is reminiscent of Superman. I teasingly call my hubby Superman; how fitting. Sage took us on a test drive and pointed out the prison(s) along the way, while warning us of the local speed trap! Sure enough, we encountered the policewoman on her way to her spot. She nodded and smiled as we drove back to the dealership. Ticket averted!! Great service and one of the best waiting rooms with coffee, water and fresh popcorn. Our experience was a little different than the locals since we were on a Ford Explorer mission. Mission accomplished. read more

This place is a must pass on Service center!!! First they get you to sign an iPad for permission to do a diagnostic to identify your concern ( DO NOT SIGN!! ) Later when you come they will show you that you signed though it will have items you never stated a concern for as well as multiple diagnostic tests as they state every concern has to have its own diagnostic test (LIE!!! Once the laptop is hooked up you can check any component without exiting the system, FACT!!) but even though I never said anything about a leak they were nice enough to run a diagnostic test that somehow let them identify a rack-n-pinion leak that they repaired under extended warranty oh and apparently on a separate diagnostic test the AC was over charged with freon by .75lb so they had to fix that even though I stated the AC was working completely fine upon dropping the vehicle off ( I had previously stated the AC fan wasn't blowing out the vents though after shutting the vehicle off and on it was working correctly again so 2 weeks later I stated is was no longer a concern but charged for a diagnostic anyway) keep in mind the diagnostic test doesn't record or maintain how much freon a system is charged with. Though another diagnostic test on the TPMS system was performed and that system was in fact showing an error though the test determined the system was fine yet I showed 12 notifications from the Ford App about the TPMS sensor and after paying for in total 5 diagnostic test and other unauthorized work and warranty deductible for again work that was not authorized I got less than 5 miles away and the TPMS waring light came on again and I took a picture of it and sent it to the service person I had been communicating with (Chantel) and of course she did not respond back. Lastly after over 3 weeks of having my 2021 F150 Powerboost with 40k miles the recalls were not completed, and I was stopped by local authorities because the loaner vehicle the dealership allowed had a dealer tag that had expired in 2025 and the incident happened July 2026. Even though I had texted back weeks before to Chantel not to do anything else to my truck because of the AC being over charged and a leak that never left a drop in the garage and the body sensor on the back passenger side that needed re-routed (again an item not listed or mentioned by me) I could clearly see they were adding whatever they wanted they still completed a 40K warranty service ($449.00) and an ignition system flush ($299.00) and stated it was agreed upon work and was performed prior to me stating not to do anything else weeks earlier. My attorney asked for me to obtain the shop technicians daily logs to show what days the work was performed and Chantel stated that they do not printout diagnostic results nor keep technician logs for what vehicle they are working on and for how long. Keep in mind a service manager never once got involved and was according to Chantel not available. They sold me a lemon!!! The roof leaks, they had it for a month to "fix it" the car came back with scratches all down the side where the windshield was replaced, it's not the window that was the problem; it's roof rack! 2017 ford escapes keep having that issue. They took it back and painted over the scratches they caused!!!! The CV axle was causing a lot of problems when you would make a right or left turn. It would go click click click click click, had to get that replaced.. Didn't even own the car for a year and half and the transmission went out! - Thank god I bought the extended warranty!!! Buyer Steer Clear of Morris Smith Ford They sold me a used 2022 Ford Explorer with 30,000 miles on it. They showed me a clean Car Fax that read "No Accidents". I had to take it to a certified repair shop two weeks after I purchased the car and when, I picked it up I was informed the vehicle had been involved in a fairly major wreck. The mechanics found the front end had been replaced, the hood had been replaced and a good portion of the parts holding the right front end together were being held together with wire and zip ties. I took it back to the dealership (Now called Morris Smith Ford) and they advised me "That is not our problem, it is your fault"! So now I have a car I purchased for $30,000 that is only worth maybe $16,000 after less than a month. The sales manager also treats you like an idiot and told me that it is 'against the law in the State of Kansas' to lessen or not charge their crazy amount of fees because he would be arrested for " Discrimination "! read more

I have a mixed review here. We purchased a car here a little over 4 years ago. We love the way the sales people work. While they are probably paid a commission on the sale they are also paid a salary, so they don't hound you as you look around. We were shopping for a car with our son and needed a car he could afford, all of that was taken care of. We settled on a 2017 Ford Fusion. We have had no problems with this car until recently. The Service Contract we purchased for 3k was for 5 years, 100k miles. The car has 88k, he felt something was wrong and took it to a service shop where they did a diagnostic test which came up something is wrong with the transmission. We then took it to Zeck, they made an appointment on a Tuesday to drop off the car, they didn't look at it until Monday, then said they couldn't find the problem by driving it, they did say that he had a recall on the car and that they fixed that. All in all they did nothing and had the car for 2 weeks, (thank God we had a spare car for him to use, or he would have been out a rental car fee), when he picked up the car they charged him $300. Hopefully, the service contract (that has a low BBB rating and no website) will pay for the service station we first took it to, to fix it, but that will be another review. Bottom line is check out the service others receive before purchasing at the dealership, and get paperwork on the extended warranty. read more

We purchased a 2020 ford explorer from Zeck in early 2023. They classified the vehicle as "a buy back"! We asked what that meant and were told "it had a few problems but all were fixed and it's good as new"! We liked that and thought nothing more. It had 20k miles. A month in the recalls started one after another and in October the transmission and crankshaft shaft go out. So at this point I'm done. We go to trade in at a Honda dealership and are told they cannot take as a trade in because it's classed as a lemon! Stay away from this dealership!! read more

Had a very bad experience with the service department. Went in with an underboost and misfire codes. The Mechanic tried to say it needed an engine. I declined at the time they shoved the vehicle out of the shop. When I did some checking the IAT sensor was disconnected, the intake tract both at the turbo and the airbox where the filter is at the clamps were loose. Finally the evaporative emissions pipe was completely disconnected with the bolt for it was found on the cowling of the vehicle. Seemed like a targetted way to get the engine to fail to prove a point. Allowing unfiltered air into the intake shortens engine life badly. Having the evaporative emissions not bolted as it needs to be also is not helping the engine live or keep our planet healthy. read more

I just purchased my 3rd Ford from Zeck Ford. They really impressed me when I purchased my 2nd Ford. The service department spotted a a major factory paint flaw with my truck. Instead of keeping quiet about it, they made sure the flaw was corrected, so I wouldn't have a problem when I sold it down the road. They were quick to respond, but did not just blast my phone with text after text and multiple calls. Quick to respond but not pushy. When it comes time to replace my truck, I will be back to Zeck ford. read more

They have two locations and act as if they're in competition. They carry a large selection of vehicle as of late most are from Canada. Just a word of caution think very long and hard before purchasing a Canadian vehicle. Next the sales team will do nothing for you. Every car has one key no manuals and they will do NOTHING to bring that current. Seriously NO CUSTOMER service whatsoever. Tried to make deals on 6 trucks in both locations to only hear it isn't at our location so no. In the end I'd suggest purchasing any used vehicle from a private party. Paper work from service job clearly states $160/hour for labor. My car was checked in at 8:52 AM and was completed at 10:22 AM. That is clearly 1.5 hours! At that rate I should have been charged $240. I was charged $364.69. When I questioned the Service Department Manager she said they charge by the hour how long each job is supposed to take according to a book that the auto repair industry uses. What a racket. Even at $160/hr. They are being paid more money than the vast majority of Americans make. It is shameful. I asked my local mechanic what he would charge for the work done by Zeck Ford and he said half. My recommendation to you all is to find a good mechanic not attached to a dealership. Terrible experience. Made an appointment and drove two hours to see a car that was supposed to be ready for us. Got to the dealership and was told they were busy, we would have to wait. So we waited almost an additional hour only to see a cleverly photographed (to hide the many blemishes and stains), filthy car. The salesman, Peyton, was a grungy looking, rude, 20 something, who practiced in the art of deceptive tactics. When pressed and faced with facts he had nothing but smart a$$ remarks. His final remark was that he "didn't work on commission" so he "didn't care if we bought the car or not". My wife immediately turned the car around and parked it. When we exited the vehicle, Peyton, continued to sit in the back seat and wasn't or wouldn't get out of the car!! We simply walked away at that point. "The Zeck Experience"....what a joke. And given this a military town let me reach out to my fellow Vets. These Zeck guys want to run the show and have that cocky, "my way or the highway" attitude. They are not on your team. I see this purely as a function of limited US/global availability, not a reflection of the awesome place Zeck Ford is. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff Bowlin and he could not have been a better salesman. I inquired about a vehicle and forwarded my information to them to have it shipped to a dealer closer to me, and due to a lack of communication, someone else got the car. Then when asked about a similar car on their lot of which I had already been sent a video of, I was told that it was now in the shop and wouldn't be able to be sold for another week or so. Had to get a tire sensor replaced along with a fan motor so I contacted Zeck. I was told to make an appointment and waited a couple of weeks for the time to arrive. On the appointment date my wife took the car in and was told if she didn't wait for the car, it could take a couple of days to finish. When she told me this, I assumed they would work on the car, but if they didn't have the parts, it could take a couple of days to get the parts and repair the car. At 4PM I called Zeck service to see what progress had been made only to find out the car hadn't been touched. Apparently when my wife was told she needed to waste two or three hours waiting at the garage or it would take several days to get worked on meant the appointment was worth nothing ! I was told that by NOT staying and waiting my car "was moved back a hundred vehicles" in the service line. Pardon me, but that doesn't make sense. Why make me wait weeks for an appointment if my car is only going to be placed days down a service line ... unless I opt to wait and give up earning the wages needed to pay for the job. I have been going to the Leavenworth Ford garage for decades. Rusty Eck, Zeck, etc. The dealership Is going downhill. Stupid, and customer disregarding policies. When vehicle prices drop from $70,000 dollars down to a more reasonable $30,000 dollars, I'll consider buying a new Ford I doubt Zeck will get my business. read more

Recently I posted a review, about being very dissatisfied with this business. While I will say my experience with this dealership started off ruff, I'm very pleased with the outcome. Short version to the bad experience, I was unhappy about some statements and quotes made. After posting the review I not only received a phone call from the general manger Gene but also a phone call from the owner Dereck. Both offering their apologies, which i felt was truly sympathetic. They asked if I would be willing to come back in and try to make it right. I agreed because I believe anyone willing to accept wrong and make attempts to make it right deserves another chance. So I went back and they put me with Buddy. To make a long story short Buddy was also very professional. Buddy, Gene and Dereck literally bent over backwards to help me and work the deal out and I made the purchase. Both of the vehicles I've purchased here were used ($2xk & $42k) and both vehicles have had multiple scratches and dings all over after carwash which means that they've intentionally deceive the buyers. One of the parts was cracked and broken as well. Also, they don't budge at all on the prices of their vehicles; however, they give you thousands below market value of your trade-in. Also, they send you countless spam e-mails demanding 5 star review. I'm giving 2 stars because the customer service itself was good and lax. read more

Never use this place, they cause more problems than they fix. Every time we have taken our car here we have came home with new problems that didn't exist before going there. Most recently, we got a quarter mile down the road after getting the oil changed there and our car broke down. Long story short we had to pay for them to fix something that they screwed up. read more

We bought our car here and had no issues but coming in to get our routine oil change and tire rotation had a wait time of 1 hour and 40 minutes. They don't take appointments and aren't open on the weekends. We'll probably buy another car here but we'll find somewhere else to get oil changes from now on. Came to Zeck because of the great reviews and because their salespeople don't work on commission. I haven't always had the best experiences at car dealerships because I chose to go by myself. I am often asked where my husband is and questioned about my choices because I'm a female buying a car. I have even had salesmen try to sell me cars that they don't make anymore (Saturn) without fully disclosing what comes along with that (e.g. they only carry parts for the next 5 years). Luckily, I know a little bit about cars and have learned to be more assertive. However, I feel like as women we shouldn't have to be worried about getting scammed when we are simply trying to buy a vehicle at a fair price. I was happy to find a dealership where I was treated with nothing but respect. I never felt uncomfortable, pressured, or "dumb" the entire time. I demand a lot of out of a dealership and the vehicles I buy. I took my 2016 Ford Mustang for service on February 4th at 8am and was expecting some type of call so I called them at 4pm and I was told it hasn't even been looked at yet. Then was told to come back the next day I was told the next day it would need parts ordered for the ABS light so I waited and everything was under warranty so it's not like it's their priority cause they aren't getting paid. It is now Tuesday morning February 11th and I have not heard any news on my car Update it is now February 15th and I have still not gotten my vehicle back, every time I call they tell me they are still waiting on a part which they ordered about a week ago, do not take your car for service here just complete trash read more

I was extremely unhappy with my experience at this dealership on all levels and would not recommend buying a car here. Where to begin.....? On my first visit here I was looking to buy a car. I needed to be somewhere that afternoon and stated my need to leave at a certain time - which was disregarded during the drawn out process. The paperwork process for buying the car seemed incredibly drawn out and disorganized. The finance guy was a bully and put a disgusting level of pressure on me to purchase add-ons that I was upfront about not wanting. Upon buying my car I was supposed to receive a car detail (the car was dirty inside and out), which was scheduled along with a safety check for a recall. The entire scheduling process was disorganized. I kept getting email notifications for the wrong dates and times. When I called to clear it up, no one seemed to know the answer and kept passing the buck. This was frustrating and took time out of my day to resolve. I dropped off my car for the service (which is an hour from my work). The turn around was supposed to be 1 day. I didn't receive a phone call after 24 hours so I called the dealership. They said my car was ready. I asked if everything had been done, they said yes, so I went to pick it up. I get my car and it is still as dirty as when I brought it in. IT HADN'T EVEN BEEN WASHED. So I went back into the service department and the manager says "yeah, I noticed that. They definitely didn't do the detail". If you noticed it, why did you give me my car without saying anything? And why did you say it had been done when it hadn't? That doesn't seem like service to me. Needless to say, I was pretty unhappy with the "service". I asked how long it would take to get the detail done and the manager said at least 2 hours, which I couldn't stick around for. They worked it out that someone drove to my work to pick up my car the following week to take it to get detailed, which was courteous. However, when the car was brought back, THE ONLY THING THAT HAD BEEN DONE WAS VACUUMING OF MY CARPETS. THE CAR STILL HAD NOT BEEN WASHED! Nothing had been cleaned on the interior or exterior besides the carpet vacuum. Even though I didn't have to drive to the dealership, I still paid for the gas (2 hours worth of driving, in addition to the first attempt that didn't pan out) to have next to nothing done. It is completely unacceptable and I will never be going back to this dealership nor recommending it to anyone. If you want something done right, don't go to this place. read more

This experience started out pretty good until the paperwork was signed and check was in the bank. After a few days of driving the vehicle, it started having mechanical problems, which was a safety issue. I brought the car back to have it checked, but while taking care of other paperwork and returning it to the clerk, she was too busy drawing some type of picture, she didn't even know I was there. :( I came back to check on my vehicle and no one, so they claim, knew where it was. I'm not sure who the owners is, but wow....LAX is over the top, but I guess it's working. Dress down, dress up, as long as you're dressed, most of all, take care of your customers please. Stop having your customers beg for your customer service. I'll write another review once I get my car back. read more

We brought our Ford in for diagnosis/repair at the appointed date and time, then waited 10 days for a mechanic to even look at it. Only after we said we were coming to pick it up, it was pulled in and diagnosed. After that it was another 14 days to "get parts. I should add that it's warranty engine work, for a known issue with the 2018 3.5L Ecoboost. One would think that after nearly a month, they would have time scheduled to get it done, but since then we've been waiting another 14 days (and counting) for them to get our vehicle pulled in for the repair. This is unreasonable, and an unacceptable time to be without a vehicle. I don't know if there are "regular customers" who keep getting put in ahead of us. This is the first time we've used this dealership, and e will not give Zeck any future business. read more

Saturday morning showed up at appointment time, It was not ready, couldn't find the key, had a dead battery, it was an hour and a half before we even saw the car. Came back a few weeks later after reconsidering and made our purchase after another test drive. Garrett was always prepared, patient, helpful and down to earth, (humble) even though he manages to sell about a car a day! He made us feel like his only customer and handled all our requests. They are super nice when purchasing a vehicle but after you have bought the car and need to get service or a simple document faxed over they are rude and act like its a hassle to do the job they are given. I had a representative tell me he would just give me a 1800 number and when I said no I need my documents I heard him sigh and get an attitude and he finally wrote down my email down correctly. A service lady kept telling me she couldn't help me and I'd just have to go to the dealership even after I told her I lived in Kansas City and I'd probably have to just pay $200 for a replacement key. I went to Zeck with the intention of diagnosing an issue I've noticed with my car's transmission...where it'll sometimes downshifts hard accelerating uphills between 3rd and 4th gear. I was under the impression it could be a software issue with the computer module since that is a common issue online with Ford Fusion owners. When I brought it in yesterday to the service center I talked with Julie. My immediate impression was that she was unengaged and disinterested in my issue...she confirmed with me the issue with my car, but she didn't ask any questions for further information nor did she seem interested about what I found on the software issue. She gave me directions to the lounge where I sat for a half hour before she told me they just got my car in and that it was going to take awhile longer. She asked for my driver's license and insurance card to get a rental...I politely declined and said I just need a ride home where I have another car to use. She asked me if I was sure and I said "yes I just need a ride"...she seemed annoyed and told me she'd get someone. It took another half hour before someone came in to take me home. That night she called to give me my estimate, which she quoted me at $3k to fix everything. Beside he transmission issues there was an issue with my cv axle, which needed to be replaced. I asked her how much everything was without getting the CV axle replaced immediately and she said $2.5k. When I asked questions about what all the different parts were she was unhelpful or vague. Since I knew I couldn't afford that I chose to just pay for the diagnostic and get a second opinion, and I'd ask more questions at Zeck when I pick it up. The next day I walked to Zeck. I came in and told Julie I needed to pick up my car, she asked if I wanted to get the repairs and I told her no and I just wanted to pay for the diagnostic. She printed me a rundown as vague as her explanation of my issues. This invoice said my total for repairs would be $4k...a whole $1k more than what she quoted me. I told her that this wasn't the quote she told me, she (annoyed) said that those are parts that didn't have to do with the transmission that need to also be fixed. I clearly didn't understand the details of what was wrong with my car and she failed at describing what the issues are beside it being my transmission. When I asked her about the computer issue she brushed it off and said the mechanic said the software was up to date...though that wasn't mentioned in the paper work, and given her lack of candor I don't believe she talked to the mechanic about it at all. The dishonesty and lack of transparency was making my blood boil. When I asked to talk to a mechanic about the issue she rebuffed me and told me everything he said that needed to be fixed is on the sheet. If I'm going to spend $140 to get an explanation I expect one from a professional who knows what they are taking about. After more prodding she rolled her eyes and walked off to a mechanic...but instead of bringing one over she tried to explain to me what he just told her. I went to see another mechanic for a secondary quote but he told me that the invoice I was given was vague and he couldn't even decipher what exactly the necessary parts are that are needed to fix my car. I head back to Zeck to talk to the ever so helpful Julie and told her I needed an itemized list of parts needed to fix my car. She told me that it was deleted from her system and she doesn't have a list, I told her I need one...she huffed and lead me to the parts department. They spent some time getting a list together that was hardly more helpful and they blocked out the part numbers with a sharpie as if I'm too dumb to hold it at an angle and still read the numbers. Never have I been treated so poorly as a customer at a service center. I paid a lot of money not for someone to look at my car and just tell me there is a problem...I expect a detailed explanation from a professional and knowledgeable individual, not someone like Julie. I spent money to know what's wrong with my car...I didn't spend money just so I could be told that I need to spend more money at Zeck. If that's the expectation don't expect me to ever come back again. read more

Very bad customer service!!!! Waited for 45 minutes in the parking lot after I called twice letting them know that I had a set appointment. No one came out to greet us or offered us anything or apologize for the long wait. On top of that they are non negotiable on prices which is a big turn off!!!!
