Seems the owners were really into horses. The property has multiple buildings. Some used for private events. Some used for wedding receptions. Some buildings are even rented by folks who live on the grounds year round. Speaking of the grounds, I'll bet they're beautiful in season. I'm not much into museums or history. But it's nice to see how the other half lived.

The location is rather off the main area, obviously since it has a very nicely maintained golf course. The dining hall is big. I can imagine numerous wedding receptions have been held here. We arrived toward to the end of the Thanksgiving lunch hours. I thought most of the delicious looking Thanksgiving delicacies were picked over but they still had enough for more than our group of six. In this southern traditional setting enviroment, I thought my experience, being an Asian alone, would be some what awkward. But to my surprise, I was welcomed by a number of Asian staff members, mostly from the Philippines. Just them being there, comforted my situation. But I didn't know how many knew I was an Asian, except my Filipina waitstaff: Before I ask anyone of their origin of where they are from, I introduce my origin first. Our waiter was a very pleasant and efficient server and when things had gotten slower, she shared how she liked to work in the club and this country. She said, "People are nice here."
