When I first enrolled in the property management program with Zeal I voiced my nervousness about renting my property for the first time to my assigned property manager, Cheryl Good. Cheryl Good said everything is going to be fine! we do quarterly inspections! I requested that she do semi quarterly inspections and Cheryl Good agreed, obviously just to say anything to get me to sign the contract at the time. Considering that Cheryl Good agreed to check on my property semi quarterly I would reach out semi quarterly because I never received any updates about my property at all. I would often be told things by Cherly Good like "I was going to go but its raining" or "I'm waiting for school to start to go" or "I go on as needed basis" or "I drove by the property to assess the conditions of the home". Ultimately despite the semi quarterly agreement, Cheryl Good, only went to my property twice when it was time to start the contract and when it was time to renew it. Every time a repair was needed, Cheryl Good would ask me to do it and each time I did. Once I decided to notify the company that I would not be renewing my property management contract for the new year due to Cheryl Good never responding and never going to my property and the renters not taking care of the yard, Cheryl Good alleged that I was in violation of my contract by doing the repairs she requested me to do and threatened to terminate my property management contract in the next 30 days as a retaliation attempt for not wanting to renew my contract. At this point I reached out to the Broker, Ryan, who stated I was in fact not in violation of my contract and offered to send another person to do an inspection at my home which I thought was really nice, but no one ever came out to do the inspection that Cheryl Good didn't do. Which was a letdown. All in all, this was a horrible experience because after a year of being in the property management chasing Cheryl Good around to inquire about the condition of my home she tried to make many excuses for her lack of productivity stating that she has over 80 properties to oversee which is not my fault. Maybe she should not have taken another home if she couldn't handle it and ultimately fall short on her promises. I would not do business with this company again. read more
